I can't get turboboost on my laptop asus r500a-serie k55 - i5 3210M- only 1.2 or 2.5GHz ( not 3.1 )

on mountain lion 10.8.3 - smbios MBP9.2

make to fix it.

AICPUPM patch or AICPUPM Native -- no

( not nullcpu ... of course )

own DSDT patch with fnkey asus - don't find patch for my problem of turboboost

make a own ssdt -- AppleLPC is loaded --

settings chamelion

p-state / c-state off

drop ssdt on

try p-state and/or c-state ON -- no

change smbios on 8.x or 10.1 or 9.1 -- no

a idea to fix the problem of turboboost ?

anyway i advice the use of clover in modern mobo with UEFI

are u using this dsdt in Extra ? like say org.chameleon.boot ?

is not patched ... so delete from extra.. and remove the path from org.chameleon.boot...

let the chameleon extract it and apply the patch from the original...

or u can try this already patched

I have a similar laptop to yours in specification but have not been able to get turbo boost and proper power management for the processor Intel Core i5-3210m.

Could you please kindly give me detailed steps of how you installed OS X on your laptop using clover bootloader? I am not a n00b when it comes to OS X but 3rd gen core i5 speed step, power management and turbo boost sure beats me hands down.

I have followed lots of instructions and guidelines about enabling the speed step and turbo including successfully generating an SSDT.aml and also the one I found on this page but none have worked for me. I have also used Chameleon bootloader's GeneratePstate and GenerateCstate but none have worked. I only see 2 speeds 1200MHz and 2500MHz, no inbetweens and nothing above that too. which means the processor's turbo boost, power management and speed step aint working well as on windows 8.

I have tried to install OS X (ML and Mavericks) using clover but I really dont understand much about it and the more I try, the more I confuse myself ..... Please help me with your clover config.plist too if possible.

But only 2.9GHz max, not 3.1GHz... I don't know why.
