Davidb8
Hi all, I just got a new laptop. It is a dell q17r n7110 Specs are i3 2350m 4gb 500gb hdd intel hd 3000 graphics! I have managed to install lion and mountain lion but I am currently on lion again. The only thing I can't get to work is the hd3000 gfx!!! I read all about how to get it to work and keep seeing DSDT being mentioned. How do I get my dsdt so I can fix my gfx?? I read somewhere that i have to have a working hackintosh to create a dsdt but i cant get it fully working without dsdt because of the gfx problem! Any help at all will be appreciated
Davidb8
Apparently it has uefi bios and shouldn't need a dsdt?? So how do I fix the gfx which apparently need to have the dsdt edited to work?!?!
pernacabeluda
Hello, every PC has a DSDT, you may need to patch it in order to run OS X or not, there's no relation with having UEFI BIOS. Just move the video kexts out of the Extensions folder to be able to boot the system and make the needed configurations, then you can re-install the kexts. Davidb8
I have Done the first part of that guide and can access the osx. But the rest of it makes no sense to me. I will give it a go but I might end up re-installing os haha
