JohnSn Posted March 2, 2024 Posted March 2, 2024 I'm currently downloading an update for Monterey 12.7.3, will the current opencore EFI for coffeelake linked on this site work with it? I'm a novice to all this, I've managed to get it working previously but that was for an older version of Monterey, seems this one is a recent update.

DANMAGNUZ Posted March 7, 2024 Posted March 7, 2024 There have been several times that I have tried to install it with high Sierra versions so as not to have to modify the OC config.plist because that is the compatible version of my hardware but no matter how hard I try I always get the installer in RUSSIAN, the installation partition always comes out in GRAY and it doesn't allow me to select it for installation... it also doesn't allow me to format the partition from disk utility, I've already tried a thousand ways and it never allows me to format it, I can only format it from Linux (which is my current system) in HFS+ format but the installer only shows me the partition in GRAY and does not allow me to format it. Since everything is in RUSSIAN, I don't understand all the errors it shows me and I can't change the language. All the installers inside and outside of Olarila have come out in this language or they simply don't work. Balena etcher, DD command, among other ways that I try to record the USB, some do not work to boot through EFI and only start with the direct installation without EFI or they simply do not work or the EFI partition is not created on the USB. 7 minutes ago, DANMAGNUZ said: There have been several times that I have tried to install it with high Sierra versions so as not to have to modify the OC config.plist because that is the compatible version of my hardware but no matter how hard I try I always get the installer in RUSSIAN, the installation partition always comes out in GRAY and it doesn't allow me to select it for installation... it also doesn't allow me to format the partition from disk utility, I've already tried a thousand ways and it never allows me to format it, I can only format it from Linux (which is my current system) in HFS+ format but the installer only shows me the partition in GRAY and does not allow me to format it. I wanted to install the high Sierra version and then install OC within macos so that it would be easier to update to Sonoma, since the first time I did it that way, it already had another system pre-installed and I simply installed OC and everything worked fine, but since I decided to reinstall everything on a new disk with more capacity, I had to delete all the existence of MACOS on my old disk for some reason, now that I want to install from scratch the version compatible with my macbook pro 8.1 2011 intel hardware, now with a version of linux, well I simply have not been able to install macos on the partition that I left especially for that. I want to keep both operating systems.
