Santiago Rodríguez
Good afternoon, I present new user of the web. I have installed Macos in other 2 non-Apple computers, following the guides of other users. Now I have problems with the following: HP Compaq Elite 8100 CMT - Intel Core i7-870 Lynnfield - NVIDIA NVS 300 - Questing for Install High Sierra. Panic Opencore_1 Panic Opencore_2 - From the USB of Olarila Image, I always receive Kernel Panic, Sierra and High Sierra at the same point: Panic Olarila_1 Panic Oarila_2 - Other details that I do not know if it will be related: At the start of linux, it gives me some warning lines with ACPI failures: Maybe it's because the computer is old and the linux kernel is new (Debian 11) See if it helps to resolve the issue of installing macOS. Linux_boot_1 Linux_boot_2 - I use the Bios version v01.13 (I think is not possible downgrade) and Sata Emulation -> AHCI. Serial Port A -> Disable. Just legacy mode, no UEFI version. Santiago Rodríguez
Thank you very much for the reply. But I still could not install the system on the computer. I have used the USB with the Olarila images of High Sierra and Mojave and I have not been able to get to the installer. According to your instructions, I have put the CLOVER EFI folder of the series "(--CHIPSET SERIES 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (NEHALEM / SANDY BRIDGE / IVY BRIDGE / HASWELL / BROADWELL)" on the USB, keeping the "boot "to be able to boot in legacy mode, but I have not achieved anything either. I don't know if another solution will be possible. Thanks in advance. Santi.

Santiago Rodríguez
Yes, it is legacy. I have tried to install with Olarila Image without results. (I add photos stopped in VoodooPS2Trackpad: Identify Touchpad Command Failed). I have also tried what you told me: Take Usb with Olarila Image. Mount EFI of USB on another computer. Clear EFI content. Paste Clover series folder "CHIPSET SERIES 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (NEHALEM / SANDY BRIDGE / IVY BRIDGE / HASWELL / BROADWELL)" Install Clover with the prompts: -> Install CLover in the ESP -> Boot Sectors -> Install bootOss in MBR -> Clover for BIOS (legacy) booting Nothing else, no drivers, no scrpts. When using it to install High Sierra on the computer. Stop at the point where the photo shows. I don't know what is wrong. Greetings. Santiago. Santiago Rodríguez
Without results... At this point I have tried: Olarila Image replacing original Efi with EfI Clover Series. Installing Clover to make it Legacy. Adding the SSDT in Patched. Now Patched folder has two files: DSDT.aml SSDT-OLAEC.aml The result is in the photo: Error loading kernel cache 0x7 Another attempt deleting SSDT-OLAEC and leaving only DSDT.aml the result has been in the second photo: Attempting system restart .. MACH Reboot ... Thank you, greetings. Now I will go out to work. Have a good day. https://ibb.co/R6JG77ghttps://ibb.co/x5tWtnj 12nov.zip

Santiago Rodríguez
Good Morning: I've made more tries: With both DSDTs (1st and 2nd) alternately. On some occasions it taked for several minutes to develop and then it returned to me: kextd stall [0], (240s): 'AppleACPICPU' (Photo 1) Later it goes to a fixed gray screen, without a pointer. (Photo 2) At other times it returns: Attempting system restart ... MACH Reboot And it stops. I don't know what will go wrong. If you give me a hint, I can try more. Greetings and thanks for your contribution. Have a nice weekend. Sanitago. https://ibb.co/j5zGL9Chttps://ibb.co/9cdmFkD https://ibb.co/Yt1Rcpq *************EDIT*********** Now, after several minutes... After several minutes, on the gray screen, the mouse pointer appears, but in a circle of colors rotating. It is like this for several minutes and the login screen in the installer does not appear. I don't know whether to leave it like this for hours. I'll add more information later. Greetings. 13nov.zip Edited November 13, 2021 by Santiago Rodríguez Adding info

Santiago Rodríguez
Without results. Now, with nv_disable=1 I only get this fixed screen: Photo 1: https://ibb.co/3YWTXcF 5 hours ago, MaLd0n said: what folder appears this screen? use nv_disable=1 Sorry for my bad english. Here does not appears any folder, just the grey screen from installation macos, but no text during lot minutes. At the second attempt I arrived here, I have seen the macos pointer fluttering in color for many minutes, but the greeting from the macos installer has not appeared. Recapping: -I took an Olarila Image High Sierra 2020 on a pendrive. -In another computer I mounted the efi partition of the USB and deleted the content of EFI +boot. -I put inside the efi partition the unzipped folder "Clover --CHIPSET SERIES 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (NEHALEM / SANDY BRIDGE / IVY BRIDGE / HASWELL / BROADWELL)" My CPU is: Intel Core i7-870, 1st generation. (Lynnfield I presume) with SSE4.2 Socket 1156 Sockel H. -Then I installed clover_R5142.pkg, to make it Legacy. Install Clover with the prompts: -> Install CLover in the ESP -> Boot Sectors -> Install bootOss in MBR -> Clover for BIOS (legacy) booting Nothing else, no drivers, no scripts. Unchecking BIOS Drivers, UEFI Drivers, RC_Scripts ... -Subsequently I applied DSDT.aml patched without results. Tries with DSDT.aml patched + SSDT-OLAEC.aml (ssdt-olaec.aml was inside the "PATCHED" folder and I didn't know whether to delete it, so I tried deleting and not deleting it, but I didn't get any results either. Then I tried the second DSDT.aml to discard the first, in the same way, but without results. Later I have tried with the start option nv_disable=1, using the first DSDT.aml and also using the second alternatively, but I have only obtained that it always stops at: "Attempting system restart mach reboot" In my many attempts, I only managed to get the system to start launching the macos installer on two occasions but it stayed on the gray screen and the mouse pointer spinning in color for many minutes. Later, on other occasions with the same type of start, it has not gotten there. I really don't know what to do and I don't want to take your time. I appreciate the help and send you greetings. Santiago Rodríguez
I finally got it !Image_1 Image_2 Image_3 Thanks to Olarila and Maldon in particular: The method may not be very orthodox, but I did. I took out the hard drive and installed it on another desktop computer easier to install with USB Olarila Image. I left only that hard drive in the second computer (easy) and installed High Sierra by formatting, etc. On reboot, it started easily on first boot with the USB Olarila Image HS2020. Then I took out the hard drive and put it in the HP Compaq 8100. I started with the USB Olarila Image High Sierra 2020 and from the USB it did start the system. The problem was that I did not have a functional USB. it was not detecting any USB. I put a Ps2 keyboard and Ps2 mouse that I had at home. With a cable internet connection, I got down to business making an Opencore booter. I use different kexts, mapped, etc, nothing worked. I put the magic DSDT.aml that Maldon offered me here on Olarila and it magically worked. Before that, I did all kinds of tests for the system to detect the USB of my computer, but they were useless. Image_4 I imagine that with clover it will be similar, someone who tries it will be able to contribute it in the forum. There is not much information on the Internet about this HP Compaq 8100 Mid Tower model and I will be able to help other people. Now I have the system working, I have to make more corrections but it works normally, with USB, wifi (intel), etc. I leave as a contribution the Config.list of Opencore 0.7.5 With many drivers and kexts that I keep from using Ps2 keyboard and mouse, but you can remove it. I also have the patch for nVidia NVS 300 which is to inject my graphics card. You can remove it and adapt yours. Sound was difficult with AppleALC.kext. It gave me a lot of startup problems that delayed starting for a few minutes. I finally opted for VoodooHDA.kext which is an easy solution. Now I have to solve some details, such as that the system DOES NOT REBOOT, it stays stopped and does not shut down or restart. It is a problem because I cannot apply Mac updates because that would break my system that cannot reboot. I also don't know how to prevent it from always alerting me that updates are available that require a reboot. Now I will follow the Opencore guide to configure the post install and try to finish it properly. What I would like to know is what problem this computer has with USB, which I have not been able to solve myself and ... if someone gives me a clue of how it has been solved ... I don't have the knowledge to understand Maldon's DSDT.aml, but I would like to know what specific problem this computer has in getting the USB ports to work. Thank you. Many thanks to Olarila.com and Maldon in particular. Greetings. Santiago.
