powaking Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Trying to rebuild my DSDT but when I try to apply the patches for GA-965P-S3 I get the following error. I created the DSDT in ML when no DSDT was currently being used. What is also interesting is when I boot up to the desktop I have to wait about 5 minutes before I can use any mouse/keyboards. After that machine works fine until I have to restart/shutdown; those 2 functions don't seem to work. I have Generate P/C states enabled and USB Bus Fix enabled. 11:05:44: DSDT selected: /dsdt.aml 11:05:51: Patch selected: /Users/andre/Downloads/GA 965P-S3.txt 11:05:55: Decompiling DSDT... 11:05:55: Parsing DSL code... 11:05:56: Applying patches... 11:05:57: Saving the new DSL file... 11:05:57: Compiling and checking compiler errors... 11:05:57: First compile errors: 7 11:05:57: Fixing errors... 11:05:58: Second compile errors: 6 11:05:58: Compiling again... 11:05:58: Third compile errors: 6 11:05:58: Errors persisted all fixing tentatives, please post this log at Olarila.com forums [[Line 3245 type Error message Name already exists in scope (LPC0)], [Line 3248 type Error message Name already exists in scope (AG3E)], [Line 4214 type Error message Name already exists in scope (_DSM)], [Line 4566 type Error message Name already exists in scope (BUS0)], [Line 4569 type Error message Name already exists in scope (_ADR)], [Line 4574 type Error message Object is not accessible from this scope (_DSM)]] 11:05:58: Aborted, compilation failed dsdt.aml.zip OSX Lion 10.7.2 (Apple Update to 10.7.4) Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 - rev3.3 - F14 BIOS (Chameleon v2.1 r2035) Asus GeForce 8400GS 1Gb DDR3 E6420 Duo Core 2 | 4Gb RAM 23" Apple Cinema Display | BT Apple Magic Mouse | HP GX607AA Webcam

powaking Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 I'm not sure my DSDT is working properly. I grabbed another dump using an Ubuntu Live CD along with SSDT's. I confirmed via bdmesg that the DSDT and SSDT are being loaded and that P/C states are generated but the computer fails to restart/sleep properly. It does shutdown just fine though. Booting up is good except when the desktop is displayed any use of the mouse and keyboard is delayed by as much as 5 mins.
