Desktop patch for ICH8

Hi to all!

Thank you for your amazing forum. I've found much useful info here.

Got DESKTOP HP dc7700 sff ICH8 Q965. I just made custom DSDT by linuxlivecd & started to apply patches for my mobo. As i can see there is only LAPTOP patch available for ICH8. And i stuck in this stage. Please advise!

I ran into this issue with an Intel DG965RY. If you look at the datasheet from intel, specifically section 1.2 (page 43) you can see the differences between the two.

They are not significant enough to pose an issue in this case. I've ran the DSDT edit for the mobile version on this board for a year and have not seen any issues at all.

Thanks for your prompt reply (even did not expect).

I'll add ICH8 patch to my DSDT. I'll see what i get.

Another questions. How can i check if my DSDT works?

Should i remove my modified IOATAFamily.kext or put back original kext?
