lancsben
Been trying to install now for the past 8 hours. System i7 950 Gigabyte X58A-UD3R Nvidia 9800GT I have been all through the topic and cant seem to get to the install screen. At first I was getting the ApplePolicyControl issue so I removed that and put the NullCpu kext in S/L/E still nothing so I then removed all graphics drivers ATI Intel and Nvidia as per instruction I booted with -V and -X and -F and GraphicsEnabler=No and a combination of all. Still nothing, I seem to be at a level where I get stuck at either BootCacheControl: Unable... or I get to Waiting for DSMOS... I currently have a fully functional 10.6.8 installed on my hard drive and planned to partition this drive during install. Whats going wrong for me? Cassio
What topic are you talking about? Make sure you boot from installer drive and not from your 10.6.8 partition. What's the Chameleon version? After removing video kexts, boot with "GraphicsEnabler=No -f" (-f lowercase). Cassio
Very strange, I really have no idea. As you have 10.6.8 running you could try doing it manually http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1014 or try newer version of raw image http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2197 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
lancsben
Got the 10.8.2 version last night plugged it in worked without having to do any commands, installed nicely booted up great, now I just have to figure out howto boot it without usb since I have a chameleon install on the snow leopard and that wont start my mountain lion up, I have installed chimera on both the snow leopard partition and the mountain lion partition and still cant get it to boot up unfortantely. Any ideas on this?
Cassio
What's the error booting from HD? You need to do post install (basic kexts) http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1716 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

Cassio
Which version of the bootloader are you using? It must be a recent one with ML support http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=70 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
lancsben
How do I find out? I downloaded the most recent multishit and installed the bootloader that came with that.
lancsben
I have also installed chimera 1.11.1 on my original snow leopard install. So 2 partitions one with snow leopard 10.6.8 and chimera 1.11.1 the other partition with 10.8.2 and chimera 1.11.1 r1394 installed. So looks like the same bootloader. So when I boot my computer, chimera 1.11.1 starts and automatically tries to boot my Snow Leopard drive I press a button to stop this select my mountain lion drive, it flicks to a black screen and then comes back to chimera like it hasn't been able to boot it, now if I goto snow leopard at this step to try to boot, I get a kernel panic. Restart the computer and leave chimera to do its thing and start Snow leopard as the default and Snow leopard boots fine with no kernel panic this time. lancsben
Ok I have just downloaded chameleon wizard and installed it on both partitions now when I try to load mountain lion with chameleon 2.2svn r2116 is says 'Cant find Press a key to continue' but snow leopard boots fine after a restart. Cassio
I have no idea what's going on. lancsben
I dont know how to, when I boot from my usb disk it comes up with the graphic panel and says to use the install or to use uefi? It doesn't give an option to boot mountain lion. https://www.dropbox.com/s/mbyxmeci2pxr3am/2012-11-13%2017.59.31.jpg
Cassio
That's strange, it should give you the option to boot the installed ML. Try using Chameleon from the USB (type 1 at boot0 screen). Are you sure the installation finished without errors? -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

Cassio
The 10.8.2 USB image doesn't have NullCPUPowerManagement, it has Disabler for both AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement and ApplePolicyControl. Looks like it's loading kexts from somewhere else. Do you have /Extra/Extensions in 10.6.8 partition? -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
lancsben
I have run multishit and that installed some kexts I got the DSDT for my motherboard and used the userdsdt option also installed audio kext ALC889 and that's when it installed chimera too. Cassio
I would start over. Only install kexts you are sure you need. First make the system boot from HD, then install other kexts (audio, network) and make configurations and patching (DSDT, power management) http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1716 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

Cassio
You don't need to.
