oldskoolind
Hello, I've installed lion and upgraded it to 10.7.5 and audio did fine from multishit, upgraded to mountain lion and had issues with audio (ALC887) fixed it, upgraded to 10.8.2 and lost sound. Tried everything. I'm not using a patched DSDT because I can't find one for rev 2.0 of this board. Here's the build specs. GA-H61M-DS2 mobo, 8gb hyperx Kingston ram, 2gb gigabyte gt630 gpu, intel celeron g530, atheros ar593 wifi card, everything worked OOB except audio. Any one have some suggestions to fix this issue? Thanks. EDIT: every voodoo alc8xx kext just causes a kernal panic, while most patched applehda kexts and alc8xx kexts show the volume icon, no hardware shows in sound in system settings. It shows in hard ware profile as intel high definition audio but shows no kext loaded or anything like that. Thanks again.

oldskoolind
Thanks man, I've seen this kext on their site before, but I haven't tried it due to this "Note: You must change the Layout to 1 in the DSDT patch HDEF." I'm not using a DSDT so I don't know how'd I go about changing that. Thanks for your help.
