rene Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 (edited) I'm trying to install Lion via terminal with: sudo open /Volumes/LionPen/System/Installation/Packages/OSInstall.mpkg In Leopard and Snow Leopard this method works but not in Lion. Getting error: The installation failed. The installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install. When booting from LionPen (USB stick) it's ok, but I want to do it via terminal. Am I missing something? Do I have to change something in the script of OSInstall.mpkg? oldnapalm Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 It doesn't work, need to boot with installer. Nawcom released patched OSInstall framework and mpkg to allow installation in MBR partitions. I don't know if it also allows installation from running system. http://blog.nawcom.com/?p=812 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
