Edit: I tried the files, but I lost all audio. However, I would like to let you know that the kext I included in the zip does not contain my Pinconfig verbs. I tried injecting in both the original verbs as well as the modified verbs from verbit but nothing helped. I think it has something to do with the node placement. Thanks for your help. I hope we can sovle this.

Btw, I am on mountain lion 10.8.2 using lapic kernel without any problem.

I tried adding some nodes according to my codec graph, now all I get is a transparent icon in the menubar and "unknown" in all my sound settings. I have attached the edited kext if you need it. http://www.sendspace.com/file/x4zrse

Para que sua AppleHDA funcione corretamente é necessário ter o device HDEF aplicado no seu DSDT.aml para isso usamos DSDT Editor

Os Patchs são: HDEF(com layout 1 e 12) DTGP,AZAL to HDEF(Usado em Placas Mãe onde o Device Azal esta presente ao invés do HDEF).

Se Alguém quiser que eu corrijo sua AppleHDA favor postar seu codec dump extraido pelo linux.

rodar esse script no terminal do Linux:

cd ~/Desktop && mkdir CodecDump && for c in /proc/asound/card*/codec#*; do f="${c/\/*card/card}"; cat "$c" > CodecDump/${f//\//-}.txt; done && zip -r CodecDump.zip CodecDump

Rode o script Anexado arrastando o mesmo para o terminal do linux e apertando enter.

cara, valeu, depois que eu mudei o device as duas que tu me passou funcionaram, porém nenhuma delas funcionou o mic. a primeira nem aparecia e na segunda aparecia mas não tinha som. mesmo colocando no máximo e estalando os dedos em cima dele. e a kext do post inicial, mudei o layout como dizia mas ela não funcionou.

Hi, was wondering since you haven't replied to my previous post. The kext you provided me didn't help. I lost all audio. I did a little mroe digging and when I changed my node id in Platform.xml from 13 to 15, I got audio from IntSpeakers!!!! However, now I have lost audio from Heaphones and Line out jack + my Mic jack and internal Mic have also stopped working I have attached all my files a few posts back. Please do help me out.

Não precisa instalar...através de um livecd vc consegue obter o codec_dump.

Hi, sorry couldn't reply earlier, was down with high fever for the past few days

Okay, so I tried the attached kext... here is the summary of what has happened.

1) After boot up, the volume icon remains greyed out, no sound from Internal speakers.

2) Built-in microphone is detected.

3) if I connect anything i.e. speaker or headphones to line out- then the icon becomes black, and there is sound

4) however, if I take out the pin from the lin out jack, no more audio

5) external line in not detected at all.

I wanted to know one more thing, what verbs are we supposed to use from verb it? the orig or modified ones. Also do I need to inject the verbs via DSDT. I have attached my DSDT I am using at present with this post. DSDT-dsl.zip

EDIT I got audio working!!! All I did was to change the node id from 13 to 15in platforms.xml and now audio out is working.

Whats working:

1) Internal Speakers

2) Line out

3) Aux line out (r whatever the 3rd jack is) PS: Does this jack also serve as a line in? I don't know thats why.

4) internal Microphone is working.

5) I have no idea if the Line In for microphone is working. IT does not show up in the system preferences and neither does it record.

I checked the internal mic by recording some audio. But I don't have a mic so can't test the Line In. Now it would be sweet to get line in working for use in Logic. I hope we can solve this last hurdle.

I have seen many people having this issue with DV6 series and have started a thread over at tony. Thank you for your help and credit has been given in the thread.

I hope you will help me out with the last hurdle and that is external Line in. Once again thanks for your help.

I don't know what has gone wrong but, around 4 restarts(shutdown and start up) later, I am back to square one.. Sound only through internal speakers now... everything worked fine until I got "SNB frame buffer did not show up unload" in my last line while booting up.

Any ideas? IT worked perfectly albeit only for a while..so close.
