lurker31 Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Hello, I have an older Asus F5GL laptop ( http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Versat...specifications ) which I tried installing Lion on. It works quite fine with just voodoohda installed, but there are few things that do not work: shutdown, restart, sleep/wake and battery capacity. This laptop seems to have some really bad ACPI because same things didn't work even in linux until some two years ago. I tried extracting a DSDT, but compiling it results in few errors. A Fix errors function was able to corrected all but one of them - "_HID suffix must be all hex digits (ID20)" on line reading "Name (_HID, "NVRAID20")". See attachment, it should be line #1399. Sadly, my knowledge about this ACPI and DSDT stuff is very limited. Could someone please help me with how to fix this and maybe give some advice on which patches I should apply? I tried just erasing said line and it did compile, but i'm not sure if that's a good idea. Googling didn't help either http://tmp.pavucina.info/asus-f5gl-222-dstd.zip -- sorry for bad english
