I use SMbios 20,2. Is it cause of that? I see your DSL.aml might be for imac pro. But i need it for 20,2.

How do you patch Ethernet to Intel 210 like in the description build?

Under Big Sur i can run an Acquantia 107 10gb. Under Monterey i cant bring it to work.

For succesful help i will send you money.

Best Regards

Samuel

Hello Again,

I updated Clover to last version Supporting Ventura (Mount EFI partition and drag and drop the files from new CLOVER to proper folders). Then reboot and Monterey 12.6 still booting OK (I am writing from there)

Then I launched the Ventura update and had been downloaded without issues, but after reboot to boot from ventura installer, the installer stucks and the last message is this one:

virtual bool ionvmecontroller..........

and no other message is related. In fact some early messages seems to state something regarding nvme fail or something like that.

Did you experienced something or should be patched something else, to boot ventura in comparison to Monterey?

Hello Maldon,

In a previous posts using other login user fgalan (I cannot log in back again...) You fixed my installation on Monterey and EFI worked like a charm with the fixed boot arguments you mentioned me. I followed the tutorials you sent in the last post, but with no luck. I tried to update my Clover files in the EFI partition to enable Ventura support but as I stated the installation stuck when checking the nvme when I try to boot from the Ventura installer partition in the Clover boot selection. I reset the nvram with F11 and still no luck. Finally when I copied back the original EFI folder running perfect with Monterey back, I lost the audio config.... Probably the Ventura installer wrote already something in HD due to I am sure the EFI I pasted back is the latest booting with the config perfect.

I upload again a run me app log from Monterey, and please be so kind and check my ACPI again to enable the audio, and also please don't forget to update Clover/OC to be ready to boot Ventura.

I bought a coffee right now....

I cannot upload the rune app file due to larger file than accepted, I uploaded to Mediafire

Hello Maldon,

I was dealing with your EFI folder from last post, but the system never booted on ventura upgrade.

Finally I managed to boot the Ventura upgrade, upgrading manually Clover on EFI folder, but ACPI is not tuned and after installation I booted Ventura but there are few things not running.

RAM memory is not properly detected, I fact the OS gives an error about that. No RAM slots used

Ethernet card not working, seems detected but no connection is established.

Graphic seems detected too, but with previous OS, graphics was having better performance.

I uploaded my Run Me to mediafire:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/btc9vixws6ldgys/Send+me+Mac-Pro-de-Frank.zip/file

Could you have a look?

Regards

Fran

Hi @MaLd0n

I have already received the Samsung 990 PRO SSD and I have created the USB with SONOMA, I configure the USB boot in the BIOS and when OpenCore starts I select the OSX installation.
But it ALWAYS gets stuck here;

What do you think could be the problem?

Thanks.

Wow!!
I had no idea about the "problem" with Samsung NVME
I've never had any problems with the Samsung SATA 850/860 PRO.

If I had known about it before, I might have opted for another NVME like WD SN850X or something similar.

That said, where should I enter that parameter? On the USB with OSX and OPENCORE?

Thanks a lot @MaLd0n

EDIT:

Mount EFI USB OSX and use OpenCore load config.plist changue SetApfsTrimTimeout to 0 in kernel tab...

The result is the same as image last post.

I don't know what the problem could be that the installation of the new OSX doesn't even enter the installation menu. It stops much earlier.

SORRY!!!

I dont replace EFI folder Before install...

SORRY!!

I already have OSX Sonoma installed on the NVME 990 Pro

It's been a while since I updated my Hackintosh.
Now do I have to mount the EFI partition on the NVME and replace the EFI folder with this one?

-Desktop CometLake Download HERE

Same as I had to do with the OSX Installer USB, right?

Obrigado @MaLd0n

Yes then run Olarila Repair

Hello @MaLd0n

It's funny, but I've encountered another "problem" that I don't think I've ever had.
The NVME doesn't have an EFI partition, and since it doesn't have one, I can't do anything.
Is this normal?

spacer.png

I've reformatted the NVME again with a GUID partition map and APFS format in case I did something wrong the first time. But nothing, it doesn't have an EFI partition.

How do I fix it?

OBRIGADO

EDIT:

Now yes, I have continued testing until the disk utility has created the EFI partition.
