Cassio Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 If you had to remove video kexts to be able to boot ML installer (or used HackBoot with disabler) you will probably need to do the same in the installed system. This time don't remove the kexts, just move them to a backup folder, as you will want to re-install them later. Some kexts need patching and proper system configuration to work, for example ATI, Intel, nVidia. Boot with -s (single user) and run fsck -fy mount -uw / mkdir /kext_backup cd /System/Library/Extensions mv AppleIntelHD* AppleIntelSNB* AppleIntelFramebuffer* AMDRadeon* ATI* GeForce* NVDA* /kext_backup rm ../Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/kernelcache reboot ATI = AMDRadeon* ATI* Intel = AppleIntelHD* AppleIntelSNB* AppleIntelFramebuffer* nVidia = GeForce* NVDA* -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
jdmcelica Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Props to you, thank you! fixed my issue being stuck at the TUFS message
jdmcelica Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 I'm having a hard time getting my video card recognized/installed without freezing at the boot. What do I do after I am able to boot into my OSX Mountain Lion for the first time? Do I put the kexts back into S/L/E? Then i ran multishit to patch everything, then boom, stuck at boot screen while loading NTFS.. NTFS.. I have GeForce 520GT
Cassio Posted July 31, 2012 Author Posted July 31, 2012 Insert your card's ID into NVDAResman and NVDAGF100Hal, enable GraphicsEnabler then re-install kexts. Forgive me if it's been asked before but how does one insert his dev id to NVDAResman?? I've already done it to NVDAGF100 but don't know where to insert in nvdaresman... Been looking for guides everywhere and been trying trial n error which results in me doing a fresh install all the times i've failed. I've already reinstalled ML 12 times bcoz of the rezman part.. Can't get full resolution on my hack. System is: Xeon x5677 Gigabyte x58a ud7 rev2 3 x 2gb 1 x wd black Gtx570 Sonic platinum Connected to my monitor via hdmi (which is also getting overscan issues) Can u give an example regarding the rezman part please??? Please help me. Thanks.
oldnapalm Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 For NVDAResman it's in IOPCIMatch. http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=154 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

pernacabeluda Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Yes, configure SMBIOS and inject DualLink property (not needed depending on screen resolution) before re-installing the video kexts http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2193 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
