Big Sur - Gigabyte Z390M Gaming - Few issues

Hi,

I'm currently struggling getting my port mapping working. XHCI Port Limit quirk doesn't do anything about the 15 port limit and USBInjectAll seems to have no effect. I'm only getting my HS ports detected in HackinTool so I tried to discover my SS port by booting with '-uia_exclude_hs ui_include=HS08' but it seems to have no effect.

Run Me https://www.sendspace.com/file/xp9hfd

Thank you

Before I see your new reply, I removed USBInjectAll 0.7.1 from ReHabMan and installed USBInjectAll 0.7.5 from Sniki and it started working ! I could generate my USB SSDT :)

I'm waiting for my new GPU to come and then I will kindly ask you what's the best config for my Hackintosh :) Currently it's fully working except for one annoying bug. In Clover, I select boot "Macintosh HD from Preboot" (Verbose) and then there is 2 behaviors:

1. Goes to black screen and display few lines of text and then start booting Mac OS

2. Goes to a black screen and display only one character '-' and sit there forever. When that happens I need to power off the computer and try again.

In the past, with Catalina, I used to have "Couldn't allocate runtime area" error randomly and also I was forced to use OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi.

You mean that " igfxonln=1" will fix the blackscreen with an hyphen? I doubt it, when it happens, it still feels we are inside Clover. It's before the OS start booting right after I press enter on the partition. That hyphen appears where Couldn't allocate runtime area used to be.

About OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi, you are right I no longer use it, seems like "OpenRuntime.efi" get things done, however just like it used to be with  OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi, i'm still having random boot fail. If I get the OS start booting it always boot, it's leaving Clover that seems to be the painful part.

I see :) I will wait until they figure it out then :)

So my AMD RX 580 is in! It's working as expected.

Here is my current SendMe. Would you please kindly have a look at it to see if anything can be improved :) this desktop computer is a daily driver

Thanks ! I can see VDADecoding is fixed and Clover was updated too :)

Question 1I was suprised to see my USB SSDT patch gone, it seems it's now incorporated in DSDT.aml? If I ever want to update these port mapping (I highly doubt it), can it still be done?

Question 2: I have 2 monitors 4K 27/28 inches. One is Display Port the other is HDMI 2.0. They both works perfectly in 4K@60FPS. However, the HDMI monitor randomly goes black for 1 or 2 seconds and power back up. Is there a way to fix this? (It was doing it before your fix too).

I only own a single 4K HDMI 2.0 cable, but it's brand new and I remember I had the same issue before when I was using this computer at work (with Catalina).

Last week I went back to work office and took the computer home with me because I work from home now (because of the situation of the Covid 19). At work it was connected on different monitors (still 4k though) and with different cable and it was doing the same over HDMI, but not DP. Sadly my DP port is broken on my monitor so I only have the HDMI left.

Edit: Using SwitchResX, I created a custom resolution with the refresh rate to 58Hz instead of 60 in 4k. I will see if the lower output fix the trouble and report back.

So it does not, even tried 50 Hz which isn't a custom resolution and it still does it :(

Edit:

it does have an impaan.

60 Hz: Happens a lot. Almost every 2 minutes

50 Hz: Almost every 5 minutes?

30 Hz: Looks ok.

is there a way to fix this?

if don't work i think only DP ;)

That is synonym of buying a new 28 inches 4k monitor which I don't consider as an option.

So when we say RX 580 are 'natively' supported, they are pretty much just like Intel IGPU. They half work hahaha
