bobmook Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 (edited) I have an Acer A515-54 with an I5 8265U as i mentioned in the topic. I can't seem to get the Video (Intel UHD 620) recognized correctly or the keyboard and trackpad working. I'll download whatever I need to in order to produce reports. I'm currently Using OC 5.7 and any help with this would be vastly appreciated as thing has me pulling my hair out..... Edited October 3, 2020 by bobmook
Administrators MaLd0n Posted October 3, 2020 Administrators Posted October 3, 2020 first use a updated clover or opencore. 0.5.7 is very old https://www.olarila.com/topic/10371-oc-vanilla-app/ -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
bobmook Posted October 4, 2020 Author Posted October 4, 2020 (edited) I think this is what ya'll need Send me Sandys-MacBook-Pro.zip and this ... here I used the clover from the Olarila Catalina which I used to do the install ..... That seemed to be the only reliable boot. By used I meant copied the Clover files from the usb EFI to the HDD EFI. Edited October 4, 2020 by bobmook

bobmook Posted October 5, 2020 Author Posted October 5, 2020 (edited) here's the new one linked .That config plist makes the gpu show up as a iris 655 with 2048 mb video memory ....so definite progress. The only thing still not working (as far as I tell ) is the keyboard. Edited October 5, 2020 by bobmook

bobmook Posted October 5, 2020 Author Posted October 5, 2020 I used the dsdt.aml both with and without the olarila dsdt that was there and the keyboard is not working in either case. I also ran the releases app but I'm unsure what to do with all those kexts. I have no idea what to donate so I'm just kicking in 5 dollars for every answer we try as I know what it's like trying to solve stuff ......

bobmook Posted October 9, 2020 Author Posted October 9, 2020 I went ahead and ordered a mini-usb keyboard sized to work with laptops .That's not an optimal solution but enables me to actually use the machine while working on the issue that remains. After some research I'm convinced the keyboard not working has to do with the interaction of voodooI2C. voodooI2CHID (Needed for the touchpad and though I don't know the mapping I suspect keyboard as well) and VoodooPS2. I can't imagine this will never be solved but it's beyond *my* abilities at the current time. Just thought I'd update this in case anyone has any thoughts. 1
