  1. I have all the ACPI patches for the USB port limit on Mojave and also this external icons patch: Comment External Icons Patch Disabled Find RXh0ZXJuYWw= InfoPlistPatch Name AppleAHCIPort Replace SW50ZXJuYWw= However my external devices still show as internal, do I need something else?
  2. Hey I have read many things about the proper USB port injection but I cannot figure out what to do for proper injection as lot of people say different things. I am on Mojave (10.14.5) so I have applied the 4 port limit patches I found for Mojave on the config.plist and USB drives are working but external drives still show as internal even with the External drives icon patch too so I am not sure if they are actually working. Any kext I need to install or SSDT patch let me know if you can. Thanks! debug_3178.zip
  3. I am actually not using AppleALC, I once saw it in a post but it said ALC256 has to use clover boot flag of applealcbeta, should I? Also was the solution you told me a couple days before planned with AppleALC?
  4. It is me again onemanosx. I wonder if I have correct patches for ALC256 as it may be the problem. Can you help me check and maybe suggest another one?
  5. Hey MaLd0n I am the one who doesn't have fully working alc256. I am using hotpaches but I think I do not have any IRQ fix. Can you name the fixes I should to properly check for them?
  6. Done it twice with no luck. I will try to collect debug files in a couple minutes I may try this as well
  7. I think it is not starting maybe? I check the install.sh and at the end shows that it should show on IOReg if working but I can't seem to find it. Just checked and layout ID it's currently on 13. Archive.zip
  8. I saw from the information.rtf that uses id 72 but I am not sure which file to modify for it to use 13.
  9. What file should I modify from the solution you mentioned to change it to use id 13?
  10. Should I use an ssdt? I currently have one when because I used codecommander. I tried the above solution and I get some weird noise when I plug my headphones. Saw it uses layout 72 when I use 13. And also found this https://www.tonycrapx86.com/threads/tool-wip-new-alcplugfix-tool-with-custom-hda-verb-commands-support.260266/ but not sure how to adapt it for alc256
  11. Has someone here found a way to have headphone mic working with alc256 and proper switching between internal and lineIn mic? I found this https://www.tonycrapx86.com/threads/tool-wip-new-alcplugfix-tool-with-custom-hda-verb-commands-support.260266/ which seems exactly my problem but it is for alc235 and I am not sure how to adapt it to alc256.
  12. Yay long journey heh thanks for all the help man. I only need to get headphone mic working and proper switching when headphones are unplugged do you know anything of the ALCPlugFix?
  13. I think it worked! Check the terminal log to confirm but I think it's done! Terminal Saved Output.txt
  14. So I was suggested this: You have a duplicate _CRS method, that leads to issues. Rename the original _CRS to XCRS with a Clover config.plist rename (Use a TgtBridge of TPD1, you absolutely don't want to rename all of the _CRS methods, just TPD1._CRS) and that this SSDT should be good. However I do not know hot to rename that with clover config.plist and also I do not understand why is the SSDT ok if it does not have a pin for the device.
  15. Either with yours or another template I get Unknown ASL compiler error. SSDT-I2C.zip
  16. I think I have finally got it working patching the DSDT. It may be a lot of work to get all SSDT patches to the DSDT so I may rely on hotpatches. I am unsure how to create a proper SSDT out of the DSDT to enable the I2C. Can you help me get it? Oh I also applied the Windows 10 patch from the VoodooI2C repo in case it has to be added to the SSDT as well. DSDT.zip
  17. I am not home right now and may not be able to apply the SSDT patches on the DSDT as I have a final exam tomorrow but I am curious on how you managed to make it compile with no errors. I will try patching it tomorrow, thanks for all the useful help!
  18. I still shows like the GPIO patch has not been applied and that the pin is incorrect. I have thought it would be better to patch the DSDT directly but it is not compiling without error either lol. From my origin DSDT I applied the patch right before common patches section of this post: https://www.tonycrapx86.com/threads/guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.152573/ And then I was getting an error which needed this solution: https://www.tonycrapx86.com/threads/guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.152573/page-284#post-1765232 No luck still...Getting parseop_integer error DSDT.dsl.zip
  19. I was trying to compile the SSDT-I2C.dsl attached directly to this post and now that you say it is working it makes me wonder why on the kernel log says it is working on polling mode.
  20. I think I was using the one mentioned on the VoodooI2C installation but will try it maybe tomorrow or the next day. I do remember the structure seemed fine but I was still missing something because I was getting premature end of file error when compiling.
  21. My main issue with the SSDT is that it won’t compile however, I think it almost ready so take a look when you can no hurries so don’t worry.
  22. I did the same so I guess I won’t have any issues!
  23. I am currently using it and the issue of the cursor lag may have disappeared I think. My battery doesn't drop from 100% after like 5mins so I might have to work with that later but it seem better for me at the moment. There is a margin from 4% to 6% difference between macOS and HWMonitor so I guess I will fully try it on like 2 days to see which one is correct as I have am exam in 2 days. Thanks for the tip on using VirtualSMC! Also do you know of any keyboard kext for laptop that is currently updated? Not sure if RehabMan VoodooPS2Controller is still being updated and that is the one I am using. Deleted some plugins from it to try so it doesn’t do anything with the trackpad but I am not sure if it was done properly.
