  1. MaLd0n, Latest files from RunMe app with current working configuration. https://www.mediafire.com/file/4ueq8qgp8jmwfbq/Send_me_Brads-MacBook-Air.zip/file Found some information on card reader: Realtek Semiconductor RTS5249 PCI-E Card Reader Device PCISTOR\Disk&Ven_RSPER&Prod_RTS5208LUN0&Rev_1.00\0000 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match. BIOS Device name: \_SB.PCI0.RP03.PXSX Bus Type GUID: {c8ebdfb0-b510-11d0-80e5-00a0c92542e3} Hardware Info 64 screenshot below: https://ibb.co/5TTtbjp
  2. What changes were made on the DSDT? At least my CPU doesn't sound like a rocket trying to take off anymore unless I push it. Before it was running high speeds without much usage. Also the screen doesn't seem to be flickering anymore like it was. That is a good sign. Any idea on how I would go about trying to get the webcam and SD Card Reader working... or is that even possible? Card reader just shows SD (XC/HC) for specs when looking them up for the laptop. Webcam... no clue at all. Just know it is 720p resolution. Unfortunately MSI didn't bother to release those specs out that I can find anywhere.
  3. MaLd0n, Replaced the EFI folder you sent me as it was. Nothing added or anything. Had to boot up from the USB which was fine. Got back into Mojave and ran the RunMe app. Here are the files from it. https://www.mediafire.com/file/nt2zcsve29pvavt/Send_me_Brads-MacBook-Air.zip/file I had created a backup drive with Carbon Copy and used that drive. It boots with USB but of course nothing is good on it. Ethernet, wifi, Intel HD4600, etc because it was just a generic file to run the RunMe app.
  4. How to get DSDT, etc edited to disable dedicated GPU on laptop with Intel HD 4600 graphics? Also is it possible to get the SD Card Reader working or not? Webcam possibility to work? And also flickering of screen (not sure if this is tied in to the disabling of the Dedicated GeForce GTX 950M or not). Except for these few minor things everything else seems to be working pretty good. DSDT has been edited so far for USB issues thanks to you MaLd0n. All files from RunMe app https://www.mediafire.com/file/qrscjbi885ge53d/Send_me_Brads-MacBook-Air.zip/file Edited DSDT that has been edited for USB fix. All working there. DSDT.aml.zip
  5. Found a Logitech 2megapixel webcam that is quite a few years old sitting in my closet. It was plug and play and works with FaceTime. Weird thing is when I record video I get these distortions on the screen as seen in the short video attached. Not sure if that is because the dedicated GeForce GPU isn't disabled in DSDT or not. https://www.mediafire.com/file/rwuoim0nei295c0/Movie_on_7-31-19_at_11.04_PM.mov.zip/file
  6. is it possible to get the dsdt edited to disable the Geforce? It is Optimus. There is no way or settings in the bios to disable it unfortunately. other than the dsdt edit to disable the Geforce dedicated card and the webcam this things seems to be fully functional. Webcam would be awesome but I have no way of figuring out how to do it. No idea what brand, etc or if there is any settings in the dsdt that shows it or not or any way to enable it to work. SD Card Reader not working at this time either. well maybe other than power management would be the last thing I guess. could this possibly be the webcam? I would assume but then again I don't know diddly squat about dsdt files [/ Device (CAM0) { Method (_ADR, 0, Serialized) // _ADR: Address { Return (^^_ADR) } Name (_PLD, Package (0x01) // _PLD: Physical Location of Device { Buffer (0x14) { /* 0000 */ 0x82, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, /* 0008 */ 0x25, 0x1D, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, /* 0010 */ 0x8C, 0x00, 0x2C, 0x01 } }) } }de] DSDT.aml.zip
  7. Would it be possible to get the DSDT edited to make sure the GeForce GTX 950M is not activated or anything or am I good to go without it? This is all I see in the system settings. Noting about the PCI-E Dedicated GeForce GTX 950M. It seems like I do get some screen flickering now and then and not sure if that is the problem or not. 8. Awesome. Bluetooth and iMessages working fine. I tried using multishit to try to get the ALC892 audio codec working but no luck. Not sure what kind this laptop has, been trying to find out with no luck, on webcam. That would be awesome to get FaceTime working. all I can see in system settings for video capture is "no video capture devices were found". Added in 17 minutes 23 seconds: Audio now working using AppleALC.kext v1.3.9 and Lilu.kext v 1.3.7 and using KextBeast to inject them into Library/Extensions and setting the layout to 12 in Clover Configurator and restarting after

  10. Thanks, Looks like the edited DSDT did the trick for the USB issue. Now I just need to find out which audio codec this thing uses and see if I can get the audio up and running as well as the Bluetooth for the wifi card I purchased. Wifi works good but don't see anything on the settings for Bluetooth. Plugged USB drives into each port separately and all at one time and works great. 11. says runme app file too big to attach to message. It is 6.3mb hope this is ok with you https://www.mediafire.com/file/qrscjbi885ge53d/Send_me_Brads-MacBook-Air.zip/file
  12. After fussing and mussing I finally have Mojave 10.14.6 installed on my MSI GP70 Leopard Pro-486 laptop. Wifi is working with another purchased wifi card and video is showing perfectly fine. Doesn't even show the Geforce GTX 950m in the system summary at all so assuming that that card has been bypassed? I didn't make any changes to anything. Battery percentage is working, ethernet working. Trying to figure out how to get the USB 3.0 to work. Put a drive in and says needs power to use those ports. Attached dump files of DSDT, etc from Clover. Any help on getting these ports working would be great. Thanks. 13. How would that be accomplished? Any ideas would be appreciated. Please don't refer me to any links involving Rehabman. His stuff is so confusing and it drives me crazy. lol. Sure wish I was a programmer.
  14. Thing is when I plug any USB 2 device in it doesn't recognize it. Keeps giving me the port needs power. The Logitech usb receiver for my mouse and keyboard work fine, but it doesn't show up on that list at all in the IOREG which is strange. I have moved it to different ports with no change. I even plugged in a portable HDD but they are all usb 3. lol. My usb mouse and keyboard combo work on the USB 3.0 ports which are, according to IOREG, HS01 and HS02, which showed up as I plugged it from one to another. But yet if I plug a USB 3.0 thumbdrive, external HDD, etc into the USB 3.0 ports I get the "Connect External US 3.0 to a USB port on this Mac" error. And if I have the USB receiver for mouse and keyboard plugged into one of the USB 3.0 ports and plug something else into the other 3.0 port it renders the USB mouse and keyboard useless and won't work it. The USB ports will recognize that the external HDD is a Toshiba, which is correct, but doesn't supply power to it, thus getting the same error message. The 2 USB 2.0 ports on the right side of my laptop... when I plug the mouse and keyboard receiver into them neither of them work it. I don't know how to tell which HS those are.
  15. I don't see any of my devices on this list. I watched the video but none of my devices show up on it like it does in the video. Could not attach IOREG file. said it was too big. 5.4mb in size.
  16. Managed to get the Olarila 10.14.3 installed again. The Intel HD4600 seems to be working and listed as 2048mb. Still can't get the USB issues straightened out in Mojave. It still won't read USB drives inside of Mojave. Also trying to get the Wifi/Bluetooth card working. Wifi is working and seems to be working fine with 5ghz, but can't get the bluetooth to work or handoff, etc. This is the card I have installed: Wireless-AC Dual band Half Mini PCI-E Wifi Network Card For AzureWave AW-CE123H Broadcom BCM94352HMB,IEEE 802.11ac, 867Mbps 2.4G/5Ghz WLAN+Bluetooth BT 4.0 For Laptop Notebook I have installed the following kexts into Library/Extensions, but don't see any reference to the bluetooth, etc in the config.plist: BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext BrcmNonPatchRAM2.kext FakePCIID_Broadcom_Wifi.kext FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext FakePCIID.kext Attached is a current copy of my config.plist as well. config.plist.zip
  17. I was finally able to get the Olarila Mojave 10.14.3 image reinstalled on my system. Ran Hackintool and edited the config.plist and pasted the new one into the EFI folder. Graphics now show Intel HD4600 2058mb. Is this correct or should it be the 1536mb? Or does this matter? Upon boot up I was getting the glitchy screen like this screenshot someone else posted. Managed to get into the system after I was able to put it to sleep and the graphics came up. Saw a post that said to enable uefi/csm in my bios. Did that and the glitch on startup went away. Now just need to work on the USB power issue. it shows up on boot up but boots fine, but when using usb on the laptop it still says USB accessory needs power. Is there a file that needs to be edited and how if there is? Right now no usb drive will work when plugged in. but now I get this glitch when trying out the chess game on the laptop but tried watching a video on youtube to see how it did and played perfectly fine.
  18. Any idea why the Olarila image is giving USB not enough sufficient power for the ports on trying to install? Boot up the USB and choose the Olarila install and keep getting that error. I have tried another image from another source and works perfectly fine. I don't know why all of a sudden the Olarila image is giving that issue. I have tried with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 drives and tried every port on my laptop. I have also tried the High Sierra image and same thing. I have managed to get the Mojave 10.14.3 image installed before and had to redo it because my HDD went out and replaced it. I just don't understand what is causing this problem all of a sudden. if I use images from another site it seems to work perfectly fine, but when I try any of the Olarila images again... same issue.
  19. ok. I have never had any success in installing the Olarila Mojave 10.14.3 image for some reason. I redid the USB and voila it managed to install this time fortunately. Got it booted up and had to use usb keyboard and mouse, downloaded the chipset for notebooks 5,7,8,9. Went through all steps and installed Clover v2.4k r4895. Went through all the steps even when it said to reinstall clover again after replacing the EFI folder. Done. Laptop now boots up with the keyboard and mouse working along with ethernet. At the verbose bootup screen it tells me to change the Intel ID to 0412. Tried doing that with Clover configurator by choosing inject EID and Inject Intel. Put the ID: 0x0d220003 for the ig-platform-id and in the Graphics tab and put the ID: 0x04128086 in the Devices tab in the IntelGFX section. Saved it and rebooted. I do not see the Nvidia in the system information but the Intel still shows ID of 0416. This reference keeps popping up for Whatevergreen.kext. I do not have that installed. Even hackintool shows it installed. Whatevergreen: Yes (REL-126-2018-12-28) All of this is done with the Olarila image install and dropping the DSDT.aml that Maldon sent me and putting it in the EFI/Clover/ACPI/Patched folder. I have tried using Hackintool as well but when I use Hackintool and choose the Haswell on the pulldown I don't see 0412 ID in the right pulldown. All I see is the 0x04160000 id. I do see 0x04120004 and 0x0412000B in the pulldown list.
  20. I have the dsdt that Maldon sent me in the ACPI/patched folder in the EFI in the clover folder. I even ran Hackintool again. This does seem to disable the Nvidia card but it goes back to the same thing for the HD4600 graphics as showing only 7mb instead of 1536mb. I have tried redoing it again and again and get the same thing. What am I doing wrong? Is it me or something else? Attached is screenshot and config.plist file. All the changes that Maldon said to make in the ACPI part of clover configurator have been done as well. Could it be the version of Clover configurator I am running by chance? It is version 4.42.1. config.plist.zip
  21. Ok got the video to play. To say I am completely lost is an UNDERSTATEMENT. I am not a programmer in any type of sense. I have tried following that video but confused as can be. RP05, PXSX, IOREG, etc is foreign language to me. I have not a lick of sense of what I am even doing. How do I know which SSDT to use? How do I find them on my system? My ACPI folder in the EFI folder is blank. I don't see anything there. All I have is copies of the files, which I hopefully and successfully extracted from my system, in a folder which is attached. That has my DSDT, SSDT-1 through SSDT-6 and a few others. EDIT: Also just wanted you to know I do appreciate all the help. This just gets frustrating. lol. I have a wireless card that will be here in a few days that I specifically ordered to make it wireless. All I need now is just sorting out this graphics issue so it doesn't kill my battery when I am mobile with it. Archive.zip
  22. If you are talking about the very first post of this thread then the video isn't working. gives error. there is no active link.
  23. Got the smbios listed as MacBook Air. Closest thing to my Haswell i7. Still trying to figure out how to disable this Nvidia 950m dedicated graphics card.
  24. Ok the progress so far. Managed to get Hackintool done. Thankfully. I copied the config.plist from the EFI folder to desktop and ran Hackintool and saw the backup one it created. copied it to EFI folder and renamed it to config.plist. Intel HD4600 showing up now as 1536mb as it should be. Only problem left is the Nvidia 950m showing up though. That is the main thing trying to get figured out. Also any clue what the best SMBIOS to use as well? Does that make any difference also? Attached is copy of config.plist also that I am currently using. config.plist.zip This is the output from Hackintool: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Devices</key> <dict> <key>Properties</key> <dict> <key>PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0)</key> <dict> <key>AAPL,ig-platform-id</key> <data> AAAWBA== </data> <key>device-id</key> <data> EgQAAA== </data> <key>disable-external-gpu</key> <data> AQAAAA== </data> <key>enable-hdmi20</key> <data> AQAAAA== </data> <key>framebuffer-fbmem</key> <data> AACQAA== </data> <key>framebuffer-patch-enable</key> <data> AQAAAA== </data> <key>framebuffer-stolenmem</key> <data> AAAwAQ== </data> <key>framebuffer-unifiedmem</key> <data> AAAAgA== </data> </dict> </dict> </dict> </dict> </plist>
  25. I must be a complete and bonafide idiot because nothing I do fixes this issue. This is the screenshot from Hackintool. Guess I am just not coordinated enough to figure this darn thing out. Moved the config.plist from EFI folder to desktop and ran Hackintool. made what I thought was the correct changes and exported and replaced the one on the desktop.
