for sleep this person has these settings. do you know if they will work with the plist on ryzen? pic attached. the ones in yellow arrows are the ones he said we needed. the ones in yellow boxes he did not say but can i use them? here is the video- sleep items on plist.zip

ok. so update went fine. i will let it run some , then update my external boot drive i use when i run into trouble. it actually made the HDR on my display work better now.

right now wanting to enjoy it some before having to fix something. lol. do you recommend doing any updates? the osx updates for catalina?

so that did not work. i tried 1, 3, 5, 7 ,11 and 99 . the voodoohda kext works immediately. i am going to try and get sleep working. i will make another ccc back up first.

I used multi-beast for catalina and installed the voodoohda kext and that took care of it . now i will work on sleep mode.

you mean you want me to send you the one that is working with audio? i can zip the EFI folder from the first patch. but bluetooth does not work on the first patch and neither does the amd gadget i am doing a carbon copy cloner now while i have it at this state, so if i mess it up i can restore it. that way i can play with getting the codec to work. i will send a run me after the back up is done. it will be with everything working except sound. i will mess with sleep later.

so my latest update today is . it boots with the last EFI you sent. bluetooth toggle. amd gadget working. no sound but will play with maybe using vooda hda, or apple patcher hda. my codec is Realtek® ALC1220-VB codec . still not sure why the first patch works with no alc entry on the plist. just the kext files. i may try those two kext from the first run.

not sure. your first patch with applealc worked fined it is any change after where it does not work. I looked at that link. i think the problem is there is no boot argument for the alc= XX.. when i looked at in xcode and did not see it. i see now the nvram entry is for open core, the other for clover. i will check the plist again. the good thing is my original install that works i keep on external drive so i use that to boot into the internal one for flip the EFI folder back to work. sound alc1220.zip attached sound if you can fix for new efi please and that amd gadget works too if you can. the latest one you sent bluetooth toggle good, amd gadget good, just no sound. plist and layouts.zip. ok . i pulled it up on xcode for the latest EFI you sent yesterday. it has alcid =1. so do i just go thought and try each layout number to see if that works? also i noticed you have on the same line -v npci=0x2000 alcid=1, should i move the -v npci=0x2000 to its own line? sorry to spam you, so check this out. I went to the very first patch you did for the one that sound works but not bluetooth and the plist there only. -v npci=0x2000. there is no alc but there is a alc kext and sound works. i will try removed the alc =1 and see what happens too. to sum up everything above. the first patch that worked does not have an entry for boot with alc .. but has the alc kext and sound works. i will try that. the two patches after boot but no sound with alc=1 and after a few reboots start to have kernel panic. not sure why but will try with no alc=1. or try different alc numbers for the layout resources folder.

so with this one bluetooth toggle works, the amd power gadget works , i can see my fans now. no sound though. i will try to put the realtek kext back in. i saw that it is not in there. RealtekRTL8111.kext.zip the latest EFI you sent does not have the NVRAM part in the plist in it to change the alcid=XX.. i see also that the realtek one is for ethernet. should i look for a sound kext?

I see that happened now comparing what I had in the kext folder to the newest one you sent with bluetooth working. You added to the two bluetooth kext and the realtex one for sound was removed. I also noticed you had the amd power management text in your latest. what i will do is use your latest and add the sound kext back . then sound and bluetooth should work. I saw on your latest you removed null power management one and replaced with amd? can you have both at the same time? also can this radeon kext be used ok? sorry for all the questions. and should i be on latest clover with latest kext versions installed? happy father's day if you are a dad. RadeonMonitor.kext.zip the other two kext i was going to try are the one for the gigabyte board and the fake smc unless you think they are not needed. other kexts.zip

should i always be on the latest clover? i am on 5112, 5119 is available. also i can see the temps for all my hard drives and CPU, I cannot see any fans at all , not just the GPU but i cannot see the speed for any case fans at all. do you have any kexts, or is this not capable to with AMD? thanks. thanks for the link for bluetooth/wifi

Audio is back if i boot off the external test install i did for testing. I cloned it to my external drive. I may make a thumb boot disk . I have another drive with ubuntu 20.04, for some reason they both keep competing for uefi boot. ubuntu put a folder in the EFI for mac os weird. My external test drive can see them both. I never had these issue with ubuntu dual boot. i may wipe that dive and use it for time machine back up. i will try the amd and keep you posted. typo.. cloned to my internal drive.

with that last EFI folder you sent . Bluetooth is now working. i can toggle it on/off via the mbo bluetooth. wireless did not work; but that is ok. ( but i lost the sound card on the board, is there a kext i need to add? ) i will do full shutdown again and see if it comes back. I think sleep is not going to work like you said. I do not need wireless. It is a desktop and like ethernet. So at this time looking to get the soundcard back. It sees the sound for my monitor though. I may plug in my sound to the monitor. The other thing I noticed is the the fans for the graphics card are not on. The computer temp is fine. I will look to see if there are ways to get it the card fans working. They run ok under linux. attached is a new one.. not sure if it makes a difference but prior i had it on an external ssd. now it is mounted in the machine. sleep did not work on the last one. i still need to test that bluetooth download. wifi did not work , so more than likely the previous dsdt did not work.
