Hi, I've tried using the Hackintool, but I keep destroying my system when I try and make these changes. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I have only 4MB on video, cannot dim screen and no sleep, but everything else seems to be working ok so far. Any help on correcting the DSDT would be greatly appreciated! notebook Acer Aspire V5 561PG i5 4200u Haswell 16GB 500GB SSD HD4400 (with 2048 memory) RunMe-Output.txt Send me Davids-MBP.zip

Hi MaLd0n, my system is formatted as APFS. I verified by selecting my OS disk, clicked 'Get Info' and it shows Format: APFS My apps are updating, but nothing for the macOS has been found to be updated from 10.14.0
-
Thanks for the reply and help, but I did EXACTLY as you stated and unfortunately no update is found and responds that my mac is up to date.

Hi, I am on 10.14.0 with APFS and my system/app store/updates are not showing any update available for Mojave. Is there a way to update to 10.14.2? Not sure how I would go about doing this manually. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!

Agreed 100%!

Thank you so VERY much! I applied the new DSDT, ran RepairPermissions script, and rebooted. The only issue seems to be system report showing this as 12,2 instead of the 13,2 that was used to install Mojave... Sound works, Video works, DVD codecs work, and I no longer need to use SwitchResX with the new video card. Dual monitors working and showing proper memory. All in all it seems to be a successful install! With your help, which is greatly appreciated!

Awesome, everything installed. Now I am just trying to clean up the DSDT.aml. I have used the RunMe app to generate the attached. Would you be able to assist with the errors and warnings to get a clean DSDT? Trying to make sure it is also set at 13,2 as you suggested above. Thanks, MaLd0n!! Send me Davids-iMac.zip

It was a dual monitor issue. I unplugged one of them and the install is going as expected now. Sorry for the additional post/confusion. It's currently installing. Thanks!

I changed product name and board version to 13,2 but now the installer just hangs at a grey screen once those changes are made. Should I only change product name to 13,2 and leave board version at 12,2?
-
where do I change to iMac13? Selecting 'o' on the installer just takes me to the SMBIOS with s/n, board id, etc...I would not know what to change on this screen. Or am I looking at the wrong area?
-
Not sure how to create a vanilla installer...can you recommend a tutorial vid or link? Added in 46 minutes 8 seconds: Oh, do you mean just use the regular Olarila installer for Mojave? Start over as a new install?

I know. I was trying to purchase a card that was a known working graphics card OOB. Is it maybe because I installed using dosdudes patched installation from an old card and now with the new card it shouldn't need all the patches? So, the clover file you attached, just replace my other clover folder in the EFI volume and restart?

Hi, I have Mojave 10.14 installed on the following system: Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 i7 2600k SandyBridge CPU 16GB memory Patriot Torch LE 240SSD I had the following graphics card: AMD Radeon HD6870 (GV-R6870C-1GB) But I wanted to upgrade it to a better performing card, so I just picked up: Gigabyte AMD Radeon RX 560 4GB (GV-RX560GAMING OC-4GD I swapped out the old with the new, but now Mojave is only recognizing RX 560 with 3MB and will not detect my display(s) or the proper resolutions. SwitchResX doesn't offer any options either. Would anyone know how to update my system correctly to my new GPU? Thanks in advance!

Correct, no 'wake from lan' in BIOS...I really really appreciate all the help!

So I copied that aml file over to the EFI patched folder and ran the RepairPermissions script. I have restarted and am waiting to see if the computer will wake from sleep. I'll let you know how it responds. Thanks! Added in 46 minutes 32 seconds: No luck...
-
Thanks So copy this aml file to the EFI/clover/acpi/patched folder and then restart (is restart required?)? Then run that RepairPermissions tool?
-
Thanks MaLD0n! You are spot on with the help. Please see attached Send me Davids-iMac.zip

Well, I let it run overnight so I am not sure how long it ran, but I have attached the output below. Let me know if I do need to delete logs and run it again. RunMe-Output.txt
-
How long is this RunMe app supposed to run?
-
Hmmmm, didn't seem to work. It still wouldn't fully wake after it went to sleep. Am I not supposed to let it go to sleep? Such as turn off all energy saver to 'never' for computer sleep?
-
Thanks, but that path is nowhere to be found in my drive. Sorry for not understanding, I have never worked with DSDT files before. Added in 38 minutes 15 seconds: Never mind. I didn't have the EFI volume mounted yet on this new system. I've saved the aml file where you directed. I will let you know how it turns out. Thank you!

awesome, thanks AGAIN! I had two errors: _HID suffix must all be hex digits AND non-hex letters must be all uppercase. I corrected those issues and was able to compile without errors. Saved it. It saved as "System DSDT.aml" in the Documents folder. Does it need to be placed elsewhere or renamed?

Thank you. I removed the Wake for Network Access in system settings but I do not see one in my BIOS. Just to clarify, are these commands to be run in Terminal?
