Small Monterey issues would appreciate some help
rev4turbomonster replied to rev4turbomonster's topic in Monterey (12)
I have tried multiple times to follow the guide and complete the usb mapping and I can not get it to work. Is there anyone who has successfully done this on a Asus prim a z390 board who would kindly let me have the file needed. I also can not get the computer to sleep and believe this is the cause. I am really struggling to sort this and would appreciate any help and of course happy to send some money across PayPal -

Hi All, I have been able to install onto my test drive Monterey Beta 4. System is a Asus z390 prime a intel i9 9900k 64gb ram sapphire 5700xt nitro various drives. All using open core 0.7.1 with latest kexts. On Big Sur the system is flawless and I understand issues are to be expected with beta but wondered if any of you had come across them. Issue 1 is that upon boot on my desktop the windows hard drive shows. External Drives and Hard Drives are unticked in sys preferences and as such I wouldn't expect it to show and it doesn't in Big Sur. Is there a fix for this? Issue 2 that is more of a problem is that after leaving the system to sleep for a while it will wake to black screen and the only way to resolve this is to restart the machine. Any help resolving these issues would be great Thanks Matt

Hello I really need some help here please. I currently have a dsdt patch that you did previously but I have had to rebuild and lost most of my original clover stuff so don't know if my setup is right or not. I have changed gpu and am getting lots of hangs and having to manually reboot the system to get back in. I tried using your folders and the acpi patched file you listed but it still would not boot. I have run the tool using my current config which works to get me in but then hangs at random times requiring a hard reboot. Could you please help me using these files or advise me what I need to do. I have tried to attach the send me file but it says it is too big so have attached the retransfer link below. I would really appreciate some guidance on where I have gone wrong in undoing what was a rock solid hack. I have also attached my compressed EFI folder I really need some help to make this work as well as it did before. Specs are Asus z390 prime i9 9900k sapphire nitro + rx5700xt 64gb ram https://wetransfer.com/downloads/4e43318a1f2763a7b1fab61677b791d120200427104745/f22a26ac1e3a9d0722d365484e17013720200427104745/b29774 https://wetransfer.com/downloads/c73aedfeed6a7c960cb72839ed1511b520200427133126/ef9cc9b19e665eeea6a62839d8878d1320200427133126/b507ec Thanks

Switching from a 9900k to a 9900kf
rev4turbomonster replied to rev4turbomonster's topic in Catalina (10.15)
Just to update I also have clover working as an alternative to open core if it is easier to sort using that -
Hi there, I am after some help please beer tokens on offer. I had a perfectly working system on open core with my Asus z390 prime and i9 9900k running Catalina. Unfortunately due to a faulty power supply the board and chip were fried and had to be replaced. I managed to get the same board and didn't think getting a 9900kf instead of a 9900k would have made much of a difference but it has. As the 9900kf has no igpu the graphics all needs to be taken care of buy the gpu in my case a sapphire nitro+ rx5700xt. Just browsing the system with my current configuration is ok however due to there being no igpu if I try to record from QuickTime or make a FaceTime call the screen freezes and locks up. I need to amend my EFI folder so that the system is only looking to the 5700xt to do the work of the gpu and realises that igpu is not there. I am hopeless when it comes to sorting this sort of thing and have no idea what to do. In the past I have been lucky to have someone using the exact same spec as me and been able to get support from them or even use their config to get me up and running but this time it doesn't appear anyone is running the 9900kf currently. Please let me know what help you could give and any files you need. @MaLd0n @fwardsbc I translated a post on your page and saw you were struggling to get this same configuration to work. Did you manage to sort it and if you did please share with me how. Many Thanks Matt

Sucesso [Core i9-9900kf] e uma dúvida com uma nova GPU

Hi All, After some help if someone would be so kind. I have the below system: Asus z390 prime a i9 9900kf 64gb 3000mhz corsair vengeance ram sapphire nitro+ rx5700 XT nvme for windows 10 ssd for Mac OS catalina I have everything running perfectly apart from sleep using opencore. iMessage iCloud App Store FaceTime are all working spot on. The only thing that isn't working is sleep. When I was using clover this worked without fail on the old rx580 that I had but I could not get DisplayPort working on the new card so switched to opencore which boots more quickly and looks to be a great option and also gives me working displayport. However when I sleep the system it instantly wakes and when I put sudo pmset -g into terminal I get the following response 1 (sleep prevented by UserEventAgent, sharingd) But nothing is turned on for sharing. All of the guides advise against using sleep so I am struggling to find what the settings should be and would like to get it working as I always use it and find it works for me. Any help would be massively appreciated Thanks Matt

Hi All, I have a z390 prime Asus board with i9 9900k 64gb of ram nvme and ssd storage. I did have an rx580 and have recently upgraded to an xt5700 sapphire nitro +. When using HDMI on windows or macOS the screen is flickering not sure if it is the quality of HDMI lead or something else. When I have the DisplayPort cable connected in windows I get no flickering and it is perfect. I want to be on DisplayPort for the new monitor I am getting but when I plug this in for macOS I get no output. Could someone advise me what I need to do in clover to get my displayports working Thanks Matt
