The fact that you are using HZ distro and expecting a well working machine is almost an impossible dream. Everyone knows how that distro is being frowned upon with its modded file system. You can either seek HZ creator to further help with your machine or you can have a good start by reformatting and fresh installation of OS with vanilla method or using Olarila image.

If the error to compile is before your edit, then make sure you are using the most current MAcIASL from Acidanthera github. Or, you need to edit the DSDT to remove the error. 2. If error to compile only appears after your edit, then your patching is wrong.

AFAIK, GUI theme is not of Devs concern right now and no discussion about this feature at the moment.
