Hi again, I've fixed my last issues but still have one problem. I've found my laptop sleeps perfect with USB FixOwnership, but it kills my PS2 trackpad and keyboard. Could FixOwnership be made into a DSDT patch just for USB (leaving the my PS2 devices alone) ?

Oh. Okay. I thought that my display issue not being built-in may be fixable with a patch. Guess I will figure it out if it's not DSDT. Thanks anyway !

Hello , back again. I recently lost a hard drive and had to start from (almost) scratch. I installed El Capitan on one partition and Sierra on another. Sierra is not detecting my display as "built-in" so I can't adjust brightness. Whereas in the El Capitan partition the display works perfect with acpibacklight.kext. Also in both Sierra and El Capitan, the display won't wake after sleep. it used to sleep and wake fine before my SSD died, I am not sure what could have changed.. I was thinking DSDT patch may be the answer Edit: okay when I shut the lid or select sleep, it hibernates. (it has never successfully recovered from hibernation) So its not the display not waking from sleep. maybe I should mess with pmset sleep modes? Thanks for any input ! DSDT.aml.zip

I bought a new wireless card with an adapter (BCM94360CD) to replace my existing AR5B93 in my Acer Aspire 5740g. Booting into Yosemite i get a hang but if i remove and re-insert it at the hang , it will continue and boot successfully with bluetooth but no wifi, even though the kext has loaded, and shows in DCPI manager (under PCI list , not the networking panel in the status tab). Also when booting into Windows (with Boot Camp drivers installed) i also get a hang at boot and if i remove and re-insert it, booting with continue successfully and with wifi and bluetooth working perfectly. I have no idea what to try to fix this, everyone seems to be using it OOB except me . Any help is much appreciated

Need my DSDT patched for acpi battery status , using the Acer 5740G patch found here http://Olarila.com/forum/packs.php. used voodoo battery in Mavericks , doesn't work in Yosemite , the AppleACPIPlatform.kext thats comes with it causes issues, patched and unpatched DSDT and patch i used in .zip any help appreciated Send me.zip
