Please read me: Ever since macOS Mojave came out (I mean the first DP) Apple removed the support for Atheros based WiFi Adapters from the IO80211Family.kext, so to fix it we need to add the AirPortAtheros40.kext to the Extensions manually. After each clean install the AirPortAtheros40.kext needs to be installed and after clean installing Mojave DPs after few times I decides to create this app to save some time. How to use it: This application will install the missing AirPortAtheros40.kext into /System/Library/Extensions and after the installation is done and once you reboot your computer the Atheros based WiFi adapters will be enabled. The installation is the first step of the process and it is fast but the next steps which are repairing the permission on /System/Library/Extensions and rebuilding the system caches might take a while so please wait until you were asked to reboot your computer. I'm using a TP-Link WDN4800 with an Atheros chipset and it works on other similar hardware. Atheros Installer for 10.14 and 10.15.zip AirPortAtheros40 installer 1.0.1.zip

You're welcome. I don't think you are going to have any issues with the integrated GPU on the Intel Core i5 6400 which is IntelHD 530.

It depends on the CPU that you are going to use, but for what it's worth SkyLake and KabyLake GPUs are supported in macOS Sierra and newer versions.

Eversince macOS Sierra 10.12.6 Apple added a new shortcut to easily toggle the visibility of the hidden files and folders simply by pressing the following keys: Command+Shift+. but on older version of Mac OS X (El Capitan and older) we still need to either type the commands in terminal or use other apps to toggle the visibility of hidden files and folders. Here is my v2.0 version of the App that I created few years back. I still use it on older versions of Mac OS X and I thought you might need it as well Show Hidden Files 2.0.dmg

Yeah my bad I didn't notice that the iMessage is still inactive! Have you ever used this Apple ID on any legitimate apple devices like an iPhone, iPad or MacBook etc.? This app won't activate the iMessage, if you get a prompt that "You cannot sign in to iMessage on this Mac at this time." error you need to contact Apple and send them the customer code and sadly there's no other way at least I haven't found one yet Added in 17 minutes 50 seconds: Take a look at this guide this might help: https://hackintosher.com/guides/quick-fixes-facetime-icloud-imessage-hackintosh-not-working/ I'm testing it right now to see if that method is working

Hello guys, A while back I wrote a tiny app to fix certain issues with iMessage/Messages and FaceTime. This app will remove corrupted files and the Messages/FaceTime database and the Network Interface preference files which might be the cause for iMessage/Messages and FaceTime not working properly. If you are having activation issues with iMessage, this application is not the answer but if you already activated iMessage on your Mac or Hack and the Messages is acting up you can use this app to fix it. iMessage Fixer.zip There are other issues that can result in imessage/Messages and FaceTime not working properly like using a blacklisted Serial Number or MLB or SmUUID or simply an unactivated AppleID. If that's the case you need to use Clover Configurator 5.2.0.1 (or newer version) to rebuild your SMBIOS data with the most updated details like shown in the picture below: All you have to do is to select the SMBIOS section and then form the SMBIOS selector choose the most compatible SMBIOS with your hardware: Then you need to select the RtVariable section to generate the MLB based on your SMBIOS data and then just click the Generate button next to ROM to automatically generate the MLB and ROM ID based on your SMBIOS and then copy/paste the MLB from the newly generated info into the MLB box next to the ROM filed. Save your new config.plist Once you did the steps above and save the config, close Clover Configurator and the run the iMessage Fixer app and then reboot the computer, once macOS is loaded, login into iMessage or Messages using your AppleID and hopefully you can activate your iMessage and FaceTime. Important Note: If you already signed in AppStore or iCloud using your current config.plist you might need to remove that device from iCloud in order to prevent the Account Lock Up by Apple because once you change the Serial Number, MLB and SmUUID Apple's server will lock your account in order to protect your data and you need to rest the your AppleID's password. V3 has a new design and we also added a new feature for enabling/disabling write permission for macOS Catalina. This app will help you to easily change the state of the Gatekeeper. You might need to disable the Gatekeeper to be able to open the image and run the app. This app is signed by my AppleID and shouldn't give you the error but I guess the application that I used to create the DMG might have changed the signing somehow. I attached a zip file to my first post and give that one a try. I tested the Image on High Sierra and Mojave without any issues.
