  1. Hi everyone! I have macOS Monterey 12.7.6 running on an Acer Aspire 5 with OpenCore 1.0.8. Almost everything works, but the HDMI port does not, and I need help. HARDWARE Acer Aspire 5 A515-54-33EN (N18Q13), Intel Core i3-10110U (Comet Lake-U), Intel UHD 620 (device ID 9B41), 4 GB DDR4-3200 in a single SO-DIMM (upgrading to 16 GB+ before moving to Sequoia), 256 GB NVMe, Realtek ALC255, Intel Wi-Fi/BT, I2C touchpad, InsydeH2O BIOS V1.25 with DVMT at 64 MB. One HDMI port wired to the iGPU (I believe HDMI 1.4). SMBIOS is MacBookPro16,3. PROBLEM If I boot with an HDMI cable connected, neither the internal screen nor the external monitor gets a signal. Unplugging the cable does not bring the picture back, and only a restart does. HDMI never worked in macOS. Before I added connector patches, HDMI at boot also gave no video and CPU/iGPU usage stayed high. Earlier con0/con1 experiments gave either a black internal screen or no signal on the external monitor. WHAT WORKS Full graphics acceleration (QE/CI), the internal eDP display, the I2C touchpad, battery status, audio, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. OTHER ISSUES Brightness slider and keys do nothing (SSDT-PNLF is loaded, BrightnessKeys is not), fast battery drain, sluggish for a few seconds after login, high CPU/iGPU temperature, Netflix not playing in Safari (works in Firefox). KEY CONFIG POINTS iGPU: ig-platform-id 0x3E9B0000 with device-id spoofed to 0x3E9B. Connector patches: con0, con1 and con2 are all set to pipe 0x12. con1 and con2 are both typed HDMI (0x800) with index -1, and con2 has no busid. LSPCON options are enabled, plus enable-hdmi20. Other iGPU properties: enable-hdmi-dividers-fix, enable-backlight-registers-fix, hda-gfx = onboard-1. boot-args: keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 alcid=3 -nvme-no-apst igfxonln=1 -igfxhdmidivs igfxagdc=0 ACPI: SSDT-EC, PLUG, RTCAWAC, XOSI and PNLF, with the _OSI to XOSI and GFX0 to IGPU renames. Kexts: Lilu, VirtualSMC, WhateverGreen, AppleALC, NVMeFix, VoodooPS2 (keyboard only), VoodooI2C + HID, AirportItlwm, BlueToolFixup, IntelBluetoothFirmware, CPUFriend + DataProvider, and a Display override kext. No BrightnessKeys, ECEnabler or USB map. Booter: EnableWriteUnprotector and RebuildAppleMemoryMap are both true. UEFI: Resolution = Max, ProvideConsoleGop true. Kernel: CFG-Lock is not unlocked, so both CfgLock quirks are on. SIP is enabled. WHAT LOOKS SUSPICIOUS The framebuffer 0x3E9B0000 works for acceleration, but I don't know whether its connector layout is right for HDMI. I usually see 0x3E9B0007/0009 or 0x3EA50009 recommended. All connectors are on the same pipe (0x12), including the internal panel. con1 and con2 are both HDMI with index -1, and con2 has no busid. LSPCON and HDMI 2.0 are forced on a port I believe is native HDMI 1.4. igfxonln=1 and igfxagdc=0 might cause the no-video-after-hotplug behavior. Brightness: BrightnessKeys is missing, and I'm not sure SSDT-PNLF matches the GFX0 to IGPU rename. QUESTIONS What is the correct framebuffer and connector map for a UHD 620 (9B41) with one eDP and one HDMI port? Which busid, pipe and type should the HDMI connector use on this chassis? Should I remove the LSPCON and HDMI 2.0 properties and start from a minimal HDMI patch? Why does the screen stay black even after unplugging HDMI? What is the cleanest way to get brightness working? What should I fix now to make the move to Sequoia smooth? I can provide Hackintool reports, an ioreg dump, the OpenCore debug log, the SSDT-PNLF source and photos of the boot behavior. Thanks a lot for any help! (Useful prints) Prints.zip
