  1. I read about SMBIOS problems in Lion http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=265219 What are the last messages in boot verbose?
  2. For power management you will probably need this http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=258611 In DSDT you may need the LPC patch, if your LPC device ID isn't in AppleLPC, check if the kext is loaded running kextstat in terminal. Other patches that you may need are UHCI and EHCI, if you have problems related to USB devices. The patches IRQs and RTC are "generic" and should be applied in all cases. Here you can find patches used in Sandy Bridge laptops http://Olarila.com/Patches/Notebook%20Core%20i%20Sandy%20Bridge/ About kexts loading at boot, you have to enable UseKernelCache in org.chameleon.Boot.plist, or create an Extensions.mkext for system kexts.
  3. Boot in verbose mode (-v) and look where it stops.
  4. It suggests using NVCAP Maker.app and video ROM dump from Windows (Everest) http://www.mediafire.com/?emwvmcqnvzg If it really works, I guess you can use any method to inject NVCAP (DSDT, NVEnabler, ...)
  5. Yes, there's a way, but it's quite complex http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=465 I tried but it didn't work, I must have done something wrong.
  6. I tried this but only headphones work http://www.kexts.com/view/1164-alc_269.html I'm using VoodooHDA which works perfectly (speaker/headphone and mic/internal mic with jack detection).
  7. The restart via keyboard controller doesn't work (as we tested in IRC) and the shutdown patch (PMRS address) is correct, so I have no idea of what's wrong. Maybe Sandy Bridge needs different patches from previous chipsets.
  11. http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8&p=3800#p3260
  12. It's not a DSDT patch, it's a change in FADT made by Chameleon, you have to edit Chameleon source code and compile. In current trunk it's in line 735 fadt_mod->Reset_Address = 0x0cf9; // Address of the register Just replace 0x0cf9 by 0x64. The shutdown issue may be related to DSDT patch. Check if PMRS address is correct (0x0430). http://osx86.co/f36/various-dsdt-mods-t1960/post41570.html Did you test shutdown without the patch?
  13. You can try restart patch using keyboard controller reset, it usually works for laptops, but who knows http://forum.voodooprojects.org/index.php/topic,1056.msg9802.html#msg9802 About the photo, it's shutdown, right? Not sleep?
  14. Are you using Maldon's patch? What happens with sleep? Restart fix is in FADT, it's done by Chameleon http://forge.voodooprojects.org/p/chameleon/source/tree/HEAD/trunk/i386/libsaio/acpi_patcher.c#L663
  15. Sorry, I don't understand the question. Do you mean Z68X-UD7-B3?
  16. It looks fine, the only thing is that you copied the entire HDA Hardware Config Resource from legacy instead of only the dict, but it should make no difference. I really don't understand why it doesn't work.
  17. Attach your edited Lion kext, DSDT and the legacy that works in Snow.
  18. Maybe you are missing the bin patch? I believe you should use sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x85\x08\xec\x10|\x87\x08\xec\x10|g' /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleHDA http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=140941
  19. I don't remember about a "success case" with this specific codec, but if the kext works in Snow Leopard, the Lion "port" should work as well.
  20. http://Olarila.com/Patches/Notebook%20Core%20i%20Sandy%20Bridge/EHCI.txt and http://Olarila.com/Patches/Notebook%20Core%20i%20Sandy%20Bridge/UHCI.txt You can also apply this patch over Maldon DSDT http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=391&start=40#p3731
  21. Then it's not a Lion AppleHDA.
  22. Did you try using the DSDT edited by Maldon? It has patches in USB devices, it may help since your bluetooth has USB host controller.
  23. If it's a PowerPC app it won't run on Lion, Apple dropped support for PPC apps (Rosetta).
  24. You can use TransMac (Windows app) to copy the patched mach_kernel to the Mac OS partition.
