I'll give it a try and report here. Thanks Same error with X99 EFI folder, 2021-10.9

I prepared another usb installer using Olarila Beta 8 raw. The installation went on very smoothly until the first reboot when a message says that my computer needs an internal update. Then a Mac OS upate assistant window opens and shows a progress bar that does not load even if my computer is connected to the Internet with Ethernet cable. I'm stuck at this point. Help, please. Thanks

I did a new attempt today using the X99 Olarlla EFI folder and the confg.plist found in the folder instead of the one already installed in the EFI(which did not get to the installer). The installer launches normally and the installation starts but then it stops at the 15 minutes remaining mark with this message: "Error loading the update". What does it mean? Thanks

Yes. I tried with X99 and npci=0x2000 is one of thre boot args.

I'm trying to install Monterey on a Gigabyte X99 SLI and I get stuck on "Smc light sensor". I was able to complete the installation on my other Asus X99 board but not on the Gigabyte. What is blocking me? See screenshot attached, please. Thanks 2021-10-02 13.43.18.jpg.zip

Hi I tried installing Monterey on X99 MSI X99+ 17 5820 using the new EFI folders found on this site; the Clover EFI does not boot as it only displays a dash line in the upper left corner. As for the Haswell E and Broadwell E EFI folders, I can only get to the boot window showing Monterey install and NVRAM reset but I cannot select any option there because the keyboard and the mouse are not working. I tried using all the available usb ports in vain. Any suggestion?

Hi Maldon I found out the problem which was related to bios settings. Turbo mode had to be disabled. Then Catalina install with your OpenCore folder worked like a charm. Then I tried to install BigSur with your X99 OpenCore folder but installation hangs as on the screenshot attached. Any idea what goes wrong? Thanks again for your kind assistance Archive 2.zip -

Hi Maldon I tried to install Catalina with Clover X99 folder. Please, take a look at the screenshots attached and tell me if I may have wrong bios settings causing that error. Thanks 2021-04-05 16.28.11.jpg.zip 2021-04-05 16.29.04.jpg.zip -

Hi First, I must mention that this computer worked well with Catlina until I did a bios update. Since then all my attempts at installing Catalina or Big Sur with either Clover or OpenCore failed. I even tried to install Mojave and High Sierra but I could not. I have no idea what is wrong, maybe with my bios. Anyway, I am attaching a video and a screenshot of what I can see on the monitor when the installation fails. I hope someone can help me out. Thanks MAH00289.mov.zip DSC00291.jpeg.zip

I hope you won't mind my using your EFI with my MSI SLI + and i7-5820K hack. It booted fine but booting hung at about 50% of the progress bar. See screenshot attached. I thought I had finally found a working EFI for my needs, but I have not. I feel there is very little wrong that needs to be modified for your EFI to work but I have no idea what. Can anyone shed some light on this issue? Thanks 2021-01-19 13.40.29.jpg.zip

Hi Did I make a mistake in choosing a MSI Z390-A PRO LGA1151 motherboard for me i3-8100 cpu? I am asking because I cannot get the built in HD 630 graphics to work. I installed Big Sur using Olarila chipset folder for 300 series motherboard and the installation was very easy. Is there a way to make the internat HD 630 graphics to work? Right now I am using a GT 710 video card, but I'd rather use the built in graphics. Thanks
