  1. Hi, I have macOS Ventura installed on a VM, i have the core count set to 8. Everything works perfectly. I decided to change the core count to 6 and then macOS simply does not boot, but if i set it back to 8 cores, it works normally ? What could be the issue ? EFI ? EFI needs updating to change the device type to something other than iMac Pro ? Thanks in advance :)
  2. I had a full clone backup of macOS. I restored it and it has not acted out since. I have made another full drive backup. I think it might have been an application i installed that may have been causing that issue. Thank you for your response though :)
  3. Hi, So I have macOS Ventura installed for a year now and recently the macOS just randomly reboots/crashes. How do i find what is causing this crash as it only appeared recently. Not sure where exactly to start to identify the issue.
  4. Im getting the same error under Ventura. Going to enable verbose to see exactly what the error could be. Will re-create post under Ventura. EDIT: Same result, no debug information provided.
  5. Hi All, I am trying to revive an old system of mine. The hardware is as follows: Motherboard: Asus ROG Maximus V Gene CPU: i7 3770K Ram: 32GB SSD: Sata SSD GPU: Nvidia GT 710 I build the usb using the terminal sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sonoma.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB Once completed i then copied over the IvyBridge EFI from: https://olarila.com/files/OPENCORE.MOD1/EFI.OpenCore.Desktop.IvyBridge.MOD.zip On boot, i am able to access OpenCore, the moment i click on Install Sonoma it displays the no entry sign.
  6. This unfortunately does not work for my x99 board. My Wireless device works perfectly. It shows in the Pci section of the Hackintool. My bluetooth device shows up in the usb section of the Hacking tool. Motherboard: Asus Rog Rampage V Edition 10 x99 Type:XHCI Name:HS06 LocationID: 0x14600000 Port:0x06 Connector: USB3 DevSpeed: 12Mbps Device: BCM20702A0 How would i got about getting the bluetooth to work as it is needed for the complete AirDrop suite. The current kexts i have installed: AirportBrcmFixup.kext BrcmBluetoothhInjector.kext BrcmFirmwareData.kext BrcmPatchRAM3.kext EDIT: Should i enable the EHCI in the bios, as my board has it disabled by default, i can enable it for "unsupported os's"
  7. MaLdon, i cannot thank you enough. This worked perfectly. There were some bumps when it came to the GPU. Open Core Patcher was not able to install the post installation drivers due to SIP being enabled and AMFI. After disabling AMFI using the bootarg "amfi_get_out_of_my_way=1" and setting SecureBootModel to "Disabled". Can i re-enabled SIP and the AMFI since the GPU and post-installation has been completed Issues that i have noticed, if i leave the PC for a while it will goto sleep and immediately boot back. Then it would be in that cycle forever, until i actually move the mouse of show a sign of activity. Any ideas on how to solve this issue ? Will be writing a post on my install for anyone that may require it or maybe for the future me lol. Quick question on how did you perhaps map the PciRoot device, i did notice the _DSM but im not certain if it was that and i do not want to touch it as this install is beautiful. EDIT: Forgot to mention that one of my Ethernet ports are not working as well as the bluetooth device does not work. I am unable to active the bluetooth nor the 1GB ethernet port
  8. You are awesome, I was just reading up about the open core pkg adding "built-in" but I prefer using your method. Quick question, should this be done after installation ? Lol
  9. Quick question, how do I save an ioreg. I checked the ioreg but I'm not too sure on how to save one, as i never touched the ioreg when building the open core EFI. Thank You
  10. Hi MaLd0n, You sir are awesome, I applied the new EFI and it works, the drive now shows up and I can format and access it. Although slight issue, the drive shows up as an external drive, is it possible to make it show up as an internal drive ? Thank you for the steps you provided as well, I would have simply dragged and drop, instead of copying and pasting. x_x
  11. Hi All, I have been trying to patch my m.2 Nvme Samsung 950 PRO 512 GB (Pci on board). My motherboard Asus ROG Rampage V Edition 10 x99. I have tried to use the NvmeFix.kexts as well as the NvmExpressDxe.efi which still does not work. My m.2 drive simply refuses to show up in Disk utility even in the terminal. I then created an SSDT-Bridge.aml as well as the DSDT.aml using SSDTTime, that for some reason still did not work. I have no idea on how to truly map PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) as the ssd. I added the .aml files to the ACPI folder and updated the config.plist. It still did not work. I am using OpenCore i tried to add it in the DeviceProperties section using ProperTree. After it got stuck booting with errors . I stopped immediately, i really do not want to brick my device and or board. Anyone with more experience help me with this please? My end SMBios would be MacPro7,1 I have attached my OC/ACPI folder as well as the OC/Drivers. My complete EFI folder is 8,75MB zipped. Thank you for any assistance, it is truly appreciated OC.zip
