I see... Does brightness work for you? I could live without sleep... even though it's annoying to have to shut down and book and boot it everytime.. but my battery is really short with brightness on max.. and its annoying...

Thanks. I tried what you suggested and tried to apply the patches on my dsdt. Problem is when I compile and try to save the dsdt file, it comes out BLANK and the patches don't even apply... Here's my dsdt and the patch I tried to apply, could you please try it and tell me what's wrong? What I'm trying to fix is: Sleep, brightness and Battery. Archive.zip

Motherboard: CPU Type: DualCore Intel Core i5, 2933 MHz (22 x 133) Motherboard Name: Hewlett-Packard HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC Motherboard Chipset: Intel Ibex Peak-M HM55, Intel Ironlake-M I generated a DSDT file using DSDT editor, and now I'm trying to find the right DSDT patches to hopefully fix sleep problems. I couldn't find my laptops motherboard in the 'DSDT by motherboard' page so I'm posting this... I did, however, find a DELL laptop which holds the same motherboard chipset (almost): Intel Ibex Peak-M HM57, Intel Ironlake-M (DELL Inspiration N5010) Let me know if additional info is required.
