  1. See https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ECYe4WNm5849NLms34YUDmfhlvd_AskH/view?usp=sharing for what I mean
  2. I tried to change the SMBIOS section of config.plist, and it still did not work. But when I do a search inside config.plist, I see entries of the old SMBIOS settings along with my modification. How do I attach a screenshot on this forum?
  3. After my success with Big Sur, I would like to upgrade to Monterey. But this computer has a 4th generation Core i5 CPU, which Apple officially does not support for Monterey. When I run the installer from the USB key, I get the "MacOS Monterey cannot be installed on this computer" message. However, I know Monterey can be installed on such an old CPU, as I am writing this post on a MacBook Pro Retina 2013, sporting a Core i5-4288U CPU, on which I installed Monterey with the help of OpenCore Legacy Patcher. Back to the M93p, I cannot use OCLP (it is not an old Mac). What should I change to my EFI folder or macOS installer USB key to be able to install Monterery? Thanks in advance. I published my current EFI folder in the EFI folder collection forum.
  4. OK, the problem was I was editing the wrong config.plist, i.e. not the one effectively used by OpenCore. When I understood that, I simply had to change the platform ID in the config.plist file inside the hidden ESP partition that I mounted with ESP Mounter Pro. Thanks nevertheless.
  5. The M93p Tiny is one of those black Mac mini clones. EFI folder based on Olarila Haswell Notebook (even though it's a desktop segment CPU, the Desktop variant EFI never worked), in a multi-volume 7zip archive. To work around a limitation of this forum, you will have to invert the 00? and 7z extensions in filenames before decompressing. Working Acceleration for HD4600 after installation (you must put back -igfxvesa to boot-args inside config.plist of your USB key ESP partition to proceed with installation, you can remove it again in post-installation) Audio Wired networking USB 2/3 (mapping made with https://github.com/USBToolBox/tool using the USBMap [aka do not use USBToolBox kext] option) For macOS Big Sur Not working correctly Wireless networking (itlwm, large downloads fail, visiting web pages should work) Not working macOS Monterey support (help appreciated) Part 1 of 7 EFI Levovo M93p based on Olarila Haswell Notebook r2.001.7z Part 2 of 7 EFI Levovo M93p based on Olarila Haswell Notebook r2.002.7z Part 3 of 7 EFI Levovo M93p based on Olarila Haswell Notebook r2.003.7z Part 4 of 7 EFI Levovo M93p based on Olarila Haswell Notebook r2.004.7z Part 5 of 7 EFI Levovo M93p based on Olarila Haswell Notebook r2.005.7z Part 6 of 7 EFI Levovo M93p based on Olarila Haswell Notebook r2.006.7z Part 7 of 7 EFI Levovo M93p based on Olarila Haswell Notebook r2.007.7z
  6. Status update that is very late: I succeeded to install and use Big Sur on the start of August 2022, but I don't remember what I did to solve the kernel panic. On August 3, I asked a question about graphics acceleration that was not working, tried many things until I find I was editing a config.plist file that was not actually read by OpenCore. After mounting the correct partition with ESP Mounter Pro, and editing the correct config.plist, I was able to get graphics acceleration.
  7. Using a DisplayPort cable instead of an HDMI one changed nothing Unfortunately, what datafeedexpert posted did not improve the situation. Looking the WhateverGreen Intel FAQ, there is a line about STOLEN memory. Where and when this line is outputted to the console? I can't see it.
  8. I tried the patch and I get the same result as before. That is, using the HDMI output.
  9. Hello, I installed macOS Big Sur 11.6.8 on a Lenovo Thinkcentre M93p Tiny (about the same physical size as a Mac Mini) having its stock Core i5-4570T CPU only Intel HD 4600 integrated graphics in Firmware settings, minimum VRAM is set to 64MB and limit is set to Maximum. Also, VT-d is disabled. and 3 display outputs : VGA, HDMI and DisplayPort For macOS installation, I used the Haswell Notebook (the Desktop variant crashes) EFI folder from this site for my installer USB key, then added the -igfxvesa boot-arg to its OpenCore config.plist . After installation, I was able to make it bootable without the USB key. However, graphics acceleration is disabled, making any software having Chromium-based code, such Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Visual Studio Code, unusable. On VGA, I am limited to a 1280x1024 resolution, and removing the -igfxvesa option changes nothing (same limitations as before, but no worsening) About This Mac reports Intel HD 4600 Graphics with only 5 MB of VRAM I read on other forums you must not use VGA output for this hardware on macOS. So I stopped using it. On HDMI, I can go up to 1920x1200 (yes, that's an older 27" 16:10 monitor), but still no acceleration About This Mac reports Intel HD 4600 Graphics with 8 MB of VRAM The above mentionned apps are still unusable. I have not tried DisplayPort yet as I must get a DisplayPort cable. My questions are : Can I get graphics acceleration with the HDMI output? How do I enable graphics acceleration? No problem with purchasing a DisplayPort cable. Thank you in advance.
  10. Desktop or Notebook? And where do I put the -igfxvesa option? Thanks Update: I used Notebook Haswell and I added the -igfxvesa option in config.plist (watched the first minute of to locate where to add). Big Sur installer went fine. Then, using Terminal from the installer USB stick, I copied the EFI directory from the EFI partition of the stick to the EFI partition of the SSD. When I reboot, I get a kernel panic and system reboots immediately, not letting me to read what happened.
  11. I also have a M93p, but equipped with a Core i5-4570T (same CPU generation, lower grade). I tried the following EFI folders, after I put the Olarila Big Sur 11.6.8 pre-made image on a 32 GB USB stick. OpenCore Notebook Haswell : after a long console display, gets stuck to a black screen OpenCore Desktop Haswell : kernel panic after AppleAHCIDiskDriver and AppleSMC panicked Also tried two EFI folders found on Github, one of them crashed, the other shows the Apple logo and a progress bar, and hangs at about 25 %. Added here for completeness. The link in Maldon reply of May 3rd 2021 leads now to a 404 error.
