  1. Thank you @MaLd0n. It is what I thought unfortunately. i hope that AMD proc will become supported out of the box soon. i don’t know how long it is going to take for MacOS to recognise them given the move from Intel to AMD. Until then I will continue dreaming.... Take care.
  2. Hi @MaLd0n and all, Sorry to broadcast such question but has anyone tried or just contemplated to build a new Hackintosh using such CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3rd Gen. Socket TRX4. I have been starting to think about my next machine (which may still take me a couple of years) and i have been amazed by this new beast . I have been dreaming about my next build so i was wondering whether i have been the only one thinking of this.... Any thoughts, ideas, .... dreams... Thank you all.
  3. Just to close this topic, I have managed to install Big Sur using the following: https://www.olarila.com/topic/9063-guide-installrestore-bigsur-with-clover/ Thank you @MaLd0n for all your help. For people who are still struggling with Big Sur on Asus X99 please feel free to get in touch.
  4. Hi Mald0n Unfortunately i end up with the same issue. I have made a video of the issue so you can see which i sent via Telegram. Let me know if you have any idea. Thanks a lot
  5. Yes i do have Catalina 10.15.7 which boots with opencore 0.6.2. Just so you know, I have try to install Big Sur from Catalina but at the first reboot i get to the Apple logo of the installer and then after roughly 10% of completion, the computer restarts with i think an error. When i try to go back again I always end up with the same reboot at the same point. When i install from the USB drive, i end up at the same stage. After the first reboot i get to the apple logo and same thing a reboot after 10%. Cheers
  6. Hi Mald0n Thank you for your reply and help which allowed me to made some progress. I have used your EFI and SSDT which I had to tweak as a device was not well defined and i had to include some of my other SSDT to be able to boot. I managed to get to the installer and to start the install but roughly at 12 min remaining there is a crash and my computer restarts. It looks like it is coming from Diskarbitration as it sent a kernel SIGKILL. I saw in your EFI that you have a DiskarbritrationFixup.kext but it does not look like it is doing anything as i have tried with and without it. Any idea of where this could be coming from? I have attached the EFI i have been using for this. Thanks a lot! EFI.zip
  7. Hi Mald0n, I have continued digging and tried with / without some kexts and i have still not been able to reach the installer but i get stuck at the apple logo and at roughly 90% completion in the progress bar. Not sure if this is helpful but here is my opencore config file. Any idea would be much appreciated. Thanks R config.plist.zip I'm wondering whether it is the graphic card but it should be fully recognised (Radeon RX 570)...
  8. Hi Mald0n I hope everything is ok. i have continued my quest to install Big sur on Opencore and i believe i'm almost there but i get stuck on a grey screen with my mouse pointer just before i can see the installer screen. I thought that was linked to VirtualSMC which I replaced by FakeSMC but same issue. I also declared my graphic card in config.plist as i thought it could come from there but that's not the issue (Radeon RX 570). Would you mind having a look at my config please as i have scratching my head for some time now. I have attached my EFI folder and my ioreg extract. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks a lot OpenCore 0.6.2 for X99 BIG SUR.zip X99 iMac Pro.ioreg.zip
  9. Brilliant! Thank you. Fingers crossed.
  10. Thanks Mald0n but unfortunately I get the same KP which is linked to IOPCIFamily.
  11. Thank you Mald0n for your help. At last i managed to boot with Opencore on Catalina also thanks to @jmacie who shared with me his config.plist. Unfortunately it did not work on Big Sur. I ended up with a Kernel Panic .... I have attached my config.file in case someone needs some help (Catalina 10.15.6 / Opencore 0.6.1 Release / Asus X99 Deluxe / i7 5960x / Radeon RX 570) I believe i will have to keep digging for Big Sur. Thanks a lot! config.plist.zip I share also my boot screen with KP in case someone has any bright idea and know how to fix this. Thanks! IMG-5630.jpg.zip
  12. Thank you Mald0n. I tried but now I'm stuck at PCI Configuration begin. I've attached the boot screen and my EFI with updated config. Let me know if you see anything weird. Thanks IMG-5629.jpg.zip TEST OC - EFI 30 SEPT 2020.zip
  13. Good afternoon, I'm trying to install Big Sur beta 8 using Opencore on X99. I have created my USB Install drive and I have setup my EFI and associated files including SSDT files and patches but i get stuck in the boot process. In summary, i get stuck at apfs_module_start. Could you let me know what i have done wrong please? I have attached; Error boot screen EFI folder my origin folder my IOReg file Let me know if you need further details. Thanks a lot Big Sur Boot Screen Error.jpg.zip EFI - OC Big Sur X99 Deluxe.zip origin.zip X99 iMac Pro.ioreg.zip
