I just remembered that my laptop is a two in one and it has touch screen capabilities and right now the touch screen is working it's fully functional but the trackpad isn't so I'm guessing the computer thinks that the touch screen is the trackpad because everything works on the touch screen. Is there any way to disable the touchscreen feature and reroute it to the touchpad

trackpad still doesn't work but the trackpad preference pane is up and running

Ok so upon booting I was watching all the writing on the screen (verbose mode) and I noticed apple something i2c something timed out. Could that be the reason my trackpad doesn't work the trackpad works when its on the bootloader screen but after it boots it doesnt work anymore is there any way to find out if its PS2 or i2c because im unaware of what it may be
