2 ways to get the wife card working. Use a edited kext or add DSDT edits. I have the same wifi card and i have managed to get it working with DSDT edits with the help of this forum. Run IOReg and save it with no extension and attach it. http://www.tonycrapx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html Want to do it yourself? > http://www.tonycrapx86.com/network/58146-guide-airport-half-mini-pcie.html

Hello Jack, I would like to know few things if you don't mind. I have a HP 6910P laptop with X3100, which i rarely use. Currently running Lion on it. Working fine with out a DSDT. But I'm interested to see how much can be done with the DSDT edits. I am using edited kext for X3100 but can i enable the X3100 graphics with native kext and the above DSDT edits? About brightness control is the PNLP patch enough for it or do we need other patch? I have issue with CPU fan as well. It will not run when on battery but when connected to AC it runs ok. Thanks. I did tired editing Siggehandf coz i saw X3100 edits and it got me interested.

Wow gr8... Get proper kext from osx86.net. Also as told by artur-pt above read the hd3000 thread using google translate. There is more info then just the hd3000 patch.

Patch request for ASRock Z77 Extreme 4-M
pmdsp replied to cjwescott's topic in DSDT & Patch Requests
Not again... Has it worked after the 2nd time i mean USB drive? If it has worked after the 2nd time then i suspect something wrong with it now. If you have not tried it after the 2nd time then i suggest you reset the BIOS to factory settings and try. -

The RAW file that you have attached above has already got all the edits in it. That is why when you are patching the DSDT you get errors. You have extracted the DSDT on a system which has booted up using a DSDT file. Just use the DSDT file i have given in comment No 6, it will be fine. Please refer to the below link for more info. http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=634 Important: Don't use "extract DSDT" if you booted using a patched dsdt.aml. -

Sorry, That method don't work. I can see people in the comment struggling as well. sanjayrup, Keep an eye on this thread. These people have successfully disabled GPU. I have asked them for help and attached the DSDT and SSDT. http://www.tonycrapx86.com/lion-laptop-support/41382-dell-vostro-3750-i7-2670qm-c-states.html

http://legacy.tonycrapx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=50089 This is the link that tells about how to disable the NVIDIA GPU. I can see there is a Method OFF on the SSDT you have attached, but I'm really not sure how to add it but im pretty sure experts here will be able to help you.

Use latest Chimera 1.11.1 Graphics Mode key> 1920x1080x32 string> (Your screen res) GraphicsEnabler key> Yes string>

sanjayrup, HD3000 should work fine using the attache DSDT. There is a method to disable the GPU by adding some SSDT codes to DSDT file, never done it. But if you search google sure you will find something about it. sanjayrup_DSDT.zip

Use File > Save DSL as...

Click on the link http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=634 and extract a DSDT, save it as .dsl format and attach it here. Also give complete build info.

Barrow your friends mac and get a genuine copy of OSX Mountain lion.

Here is the DSDT file. Alzone_DSDT.aml.zip

I have no idea what that is.. Buy OSX from App store and fallow the link. http://www.tonycrapx86.com/61-unishit-install-os-x-mountain-lion-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html

Those edits are already preset in the DSDT. After reading few threads it looks like the OSX installation process is little different for Gtx 5XX cards. And should work without any tweaking. Check this link http://www.tonycrapx86.com/mountain-lion-desktop-support/62297-fix-all-gtx5xxx.html And also this http://www.tonycrapx86.com/mountain-lion-desktop-support/65420-ga-z77x-ud5h-gtx-580-multishit-5-0-2-issues-2.html

Click on the link http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=634 and extract a DSDT, save it as .dsl format and attach it here. MSI boards don't support Power management OOB. you need to patch the BIOS or patch powermanagement kext. Read the below thread for more info. http://www.tonycrapx86.com/dsdt/47397-msi-asrock-foxconn-1155-patched-bios-thread.html

Patch request for ASRock Z77 Extreme 4-M
pmdsp replied to cjwescott's topic in DSDT & Patch Requests
cjwescott, I have made a patch for this motherboard. Even though Z77 boards needs no DSDT, to get the HDMI A/V working you need one. Extract the DSDT and apply the patch. Hit compile and you should see 1 error to fix it just hit "Fix Error" button. Save it as DSDT.aml onto desktop. This patch includes: HDMI A/V edits for HD4000. Unknow SATA fix. ASRock Motherboard sleep fix. Remove AppleHDA and HDAEnabler from S/L/E and install the attached AppleHDA.kext. Note - If you are using a graphics card using this DSDT both HD4000 and Graphics card should show in system information. Credits - Olarila for generic patch which i have modified and toleda from tonycrap for audio edits and AppleHDA. Update : 06/12/2012 As i have clearly written above some of the files were not mine and that is why i have taken them down. Sorry please google go to the rite place and get them. -
Google gtx 580 hdmi audio edits and click on the first link..
