I recently switched my RX 590 for the RX 6600 and notice a flash of sparkle sometimes when watching content on the Apple TV app. This did not happen with the RX 590. I guess it has something to do with the DRM, but is there no way to fix it? I am using the boot arg agdpmod=pikera as needed. Thanks. Everything is working fine.

Thank you. Do I remove usbinjectall and disable xhci unsupported after ssdt-uiac?

I don't know what kind of bluetooth you have. For me I disabled intelbluetooth kext. I suggest using Opencore 0.7.5 if you aren't using it.

Disabling Bluetooth did the trick. Thanks.

On BigSur I had to add CtlnaAHCIPort.kext to see my drives but it no longer works on Monetery. Does anyone know of another kext I can try to get my drives recognized?

Hackintosh macOS Big Sur and Monterey with Clover
Deihmos replied to MaLd0n's topic in Big Sur (10.16)
Thanks for this. I can never get the Big Sur installation to boot with open core but got it to boot with clover. I don't understand why this happens. -
Ok thanks for the info. I have explored using rEFInd for dual boot.

I use dual boot. I also have the DSDT but I don't see any difference between using the SSDTs vs DSDT. I get the same results but can dual boot with the SSDTs. voodoops2 now handles ACPI notification for brightness keys without any patches.

I got it done. The code was not correct. Now I have everything working with SSDTs. I don't use OpenCore for dual boot because I don't want my PC to act like a Mac. Hopefully an option is added to disable it.

Yes I have a dual boot but just wanted to see if I can get everything working with SSDTs. This is the only thing I have outstanding and I just can't figure it out. Everything else is working fine. I do have a DSDT that you did.

When I press the brightness keys the PC reboots. I did the rename _Q1C to XQ1C and _Q1D to XQ1D. IS that incorrect ? If not, what should it be?

How do you figure out what to rename the hotkey button? I am trying to implement this on my HP laptop using SSDT hot patch.

I have done that. It is _Q1C and _Q1D and I have already done the renames. I am not sure what code I need for fn+f2 and fn+f3. I have made some progress but not there as yet. This is my final issue that I am trying to resolve. The brightness keys should be fn+f3 for up and fn+f2 for down. I have the renames but the SSDT has an issue. What am I doing wrong? SSDT-BLCT.dsl DSDT.dsl config.plist.zip

How can I do this patch with an SSDT? I am looking for a way to just use SSDTs with OpenCore.

Can you post your EFI folder? Thanks.

Ok I will remove it and leave it as is.

@olarila I found a new bug. If the laptop is running on battery it refuses to sleep if something is connected to the USB ports. It will go to sleep then wake instantly with this patch. Without the patch I have no issues. Does this only work if the laptop is plugged in? Is there a fix for that? Thanks.
-
Thanks I got it. Issue with the keyboard is a hardware bug. There is nothing I can do unless someone comes up with a patch. Now I can wake with the mouse it shouldn’t be an issue.
-
Can you tell me where this is? Do I search the DDST.aml? Any idea what could be causing the issue with waking from the PS2 keycoard? Turns out the issue with PS2keyboard is a hardware bug.
-
If I use the keyboard to wake the laptop it sometimes starts sending random keypresses and other times the keyboard stops working. It seems to input what I last typed. I can wake fine if I just use the touchpad. I cannot wake with an external usb mouse or bluetooth mouse at all like I can on Windows. Any help will be appreciated.
