Hi, i have installed opencore on my HP laptop i5 kabylake . It was running mojave with Clover and all was working ( i installed broadcom M2 mac compatible chip for BT and wifi) all was working ok in clover. But i want to move to Monterey so ... I have now installed opencore with your kabylake laptop EFI opencore folders and i can boot mac os but no trackpad and no BT ( but wifi ok) Can you help plz ? thanks in advance I have donated today some more to help and support your work Send me MBP-de-ad.zip configNovemberman.plist.zip

hi, back here to tell its ok in the end ! now cpu is recognized corectly in about that Mac. What i did is edit config.plist with PlistEdit pro instead of opencore configurator. Seems that opencore configurator doesnt work too good for me. Anyway thanks again

ok i try this, thx Still the same, i tried rebooting again and reset nvram at next reboot but still no change : showing i5 instead of correct cpu.. When i launch other app : "MacCPUID" it show i7 6700 ok

Hi, wanted to thank you for your guides and all the rest, because i succeeded to get my old msi z170 boot OS Monterey latest's. I used your olarila monterey USB img and after that swapped for the EFI folder skylake open core. I also got rid of uneeeded kexts ( network) I can boot ok but cant get smbios to work : actually the default config.plist was setup-up for iMac pro 1.1 and it shows my skylake i7 which is correct hardware but i wanted to go for a better smbios so i used open core configurator to use smbios iMac 17.1 because i really have this i7 cpu 6700 (and not the xeon one from iMac Pro) So i changed that and when reboot and even reset nvram it shows smbios ok but wrong cpu, it says i now have i5, how can i get real hardware showing ? Other thing is each time i launch intel power gadget i got message saying " Mac OS is behaving badly" ..restart Anyway here is my "run me" file and "efi" folder if you can make things better ! Hi, i have changed video card on my machine I had a rx 570 4gb and now rx 5500xt 8gb my Catalina system works ok on rx 570 but I got black screen after clover splash screen with rx 5500xt. I have added "agdpmod=pikera" in boot arguments but still got black screen. In windows, the card runs ok but can't get it to work in Catalina . Hi , and thanks a lot for sharing your experience; i've been reading this topic now because i'm planning to build one similar hackintosh. But small difference on motherboard : msi b360 gaming plus with i5 8400 and rx 580 (So very close to yours.) You started this topic in 2018 so i understand at that time you would use smbios 18,3 which make sense. I guess now i could go with smbios 19,2 (wich is for actual Apple iMac core i5 - 8500) Am I right, and what other changes you would suggest ? thanks a lot

no... here is my config.plist, systems boots nicely and fast, but still these 2 USB dont work ! they shut down after clover boot menu. (I tried on Ubuntu and they work ok) config.plist.zip

yes thanks you. But cant activate them because, when i plug something in these 2 rear USB, nothing goes green in Hackintool ! All the other USB plugs go green when i plug something except these 2. I can imagine current is going through because i use a small usb2 hub to connect to each USB port and when i plug it to these falty USB the small led of the Hub lights on ! but nothing changes in hackintool or IOJones its a mystery for me!

thanks a lot again. Any idea why i got 2 USB at rear MB that works in clover menu and then switch themselves off when Mac OS launches ? Cant even see them in IOJones ? Its like they were shut-down when Finder appears But at clover menu they work ok

ok i used series 100+200 folder ( skylake-kabylake) I reboot and at clover menu i pressed F4 to extract, but couldnt lauch system after had message saying "this version of Mac OS is not supported on this platform" But nevermind, i extracted acpi at boot (f4) and now going back to USB installer olarilla to launch MacOS and use the run-me script : Send me iMac-de-test.zip
