  1. There are 3 options: AHCI, RAID and Disabled. I tried all 3 options, I always get a kernel panic. -igfxvesa doesn't work either. https://imgur.com/XUcBFUO
  2. With the EFI I attached everything starts loading but I get a prohibitory symbol. With the EFI you've attached OC doesn't start booting. https://imgur.com/EuKTARo
  3. I'm not able to install MacOs at the moment. Should I delete this post and move it to the OpenCore section? I just posted here because it's the donators area.
  4. Hi MaLd0n, I have a new laptop, the same problem as with the previous one. I can't get the OC installer to boot. Dell Precision 7550: CPU: i7-10850H (Comet Lake) RAM: 64GB eGPU: Intel UHD graphics (630?) dGPU: Quadro T2000 SSD: 512GB SK Hynix PC611 SSD2: 256GB Micron 1100 M.2 (MTFDDAV256TBM) Touchpad: DELL09C3? Audio: Realtek ALC289 I'm not sure if the eGPU and touchpad are correct. EFI and DSDT: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ugvD1L8EqsL8RkUCaGpvei08dViusvvV?usp=sharing
  5. That worked like a charm, thanks! This machine is fully working now.
  6. I7-6820HQ 2,7GHz (Skylake) HD530 iGPU. Stalled boot image
  7. Hi, I'm trying to install MacOS on a Dell Precision 3520 laptop but I can't get OpenCore to boot. I tried back when 0.6.3 was released, I tried again now but I can't reach the installer. In attachment a DSDT dump (SSDTTime) and my EFI. Thanks! DSDT.aml
  8. @adiif1 Would you mind sharing your complete EFI? I can't boot my main laptop until I have a CH341a EEPROM flasher to reflash my BIOS.
  9. So I should I compare the original vs patched DSDT with ex. Diffmerge and turn them into separate SSDT's or is there an easier way to prevent DSDT from loading while using bootcamp?
  10. Just a quick general question. Can a patched DSDT be wrapped in a OS check so it doesn't get loaded for using bootcamp or booting Windows? If (_OSI ("Darwin")) { }
  11. I already applied those pmsets, I ran your tool again to be sure. With the DSDT you sent me on 31AUG2020, the laptop goes to sleep instantly. With the last DSDT it takes about 1,5 to 2 minutes. The black internal laptop screen if HDMI is plugged in on boot wasn't DSDT related. When I remove "FakePCIID.kext & FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext" it works but then I have no audio over HDMI. Not really a problem for me to be honest...
  12. Both trackpad and sleep work now, but the HDMI on boot is broken. It also seems to be struggling to go to sleep. Before it went to sleep instantly, now the fans blow hard for 1,5min before it sleeps. Thanks MaLd0n!
  13. Trackpad works now, sleep is broken again. Mac.ioreg.7z
  14. IOreg in attachment, Interrupts might not ever work I think. Mac.ioreg.7z
  15. I trust you, you seem really good at what you do! To be honest I'm happy to use the DSDT, it's been patched better than what I could achieve with SSDT's. It's just that without your patched DSDT trackpad works and shows in settings now. So theres still something preventing the trackpad from being loaded. (The Trackpad not showing up in settings was because SMCBatteryManager.kext was missing.) I'm using this DSDT
  16. I opened a ticket on VoodooI2C. They discourage to statically patch ACPI. The Dortania OpenCore guide also advised against it. I know I'm asking a lot but would it be possible to turn these patches into SSDT's? With the EFI in attachment trackpad works, it just doesn't show in settings which is ok for now. I think except the patches below work fine. SDDT: Sleep patches HDMI on boot patches GFX0 still shows up in IOreg. AsusSMC patches: [ALS] Fake ALS, [kbl] Kaby Lake/Kaby Lake-R, FnBrightnessKeys _CRS to XCRS (As described on I2C Github issue). https://github.com/VoodooI2C/VoodooI2C/issues/375 To be honest I'd would be happy with the fist 3. N580VD - OC (SDDT 06SEP2020).zip
  17. Sorry for highjacking this topic but is your BIOS version A26 too? I have exactly the same laptop. It's running Mojave, I used the same tutorial too. This laptop is still a beast for being 8 years old!
  18. Yes version 317 on both Clover and OpenCore.
  19. It seems to a problem for all ASUS Kaby Lake laptops with ELAN1200. It doesn't work before or after sleep, it never works until I remove the DSDT, when I remove it it works in polling mode but doesn't show in settings. I just don't understand why it was working in clover under polling mode but it's not working with OpenCore. You have any more idea's? Else I'll try to report an issue on the VoodooI2C Github. Thanks Mald0n for the help! NV580VD-Clover_r5121_Debug_26AUG2020.zip
  20. Hi, trackpad still doesn't work but it shows in settings now. Mac-ioreg.zip
  21. Maybe any of this is useful information. Notes about Kabylake ELAN1200: https://github.com/hieplpvip/ASUS-ZENBOOK-HACKINTOSH/wiki/Notes-about-VoodooI2C https://gitter.im/alexandred/VoodooI2C/archives/2018/07/20 Patches by Hieplpvip: https://github.com/hieplpvip/ASUS-ZENBOOK-HACKINTOSH/blob/master/src/hotpatch/ https://github.com/alamdll/Asus-Vivobook-S510UA-High-Sierra-10.13-Hackintosh
  22. No, it's from OpenCore with your patched DSDT. Edit1: I switched to a bigger SDD. I had to remove the DSDT.aml to reinstall Catalina, the installer got stuck here and gave me a ? symbol. After installing Catalina I was able to use your DSDT, everything works except trackpad. Since the 'BootLog.txt' in the 'SendMe.7z' is empty I took a picture. Send me Mac.7z Mac.ioreg.7z
  23. Ok interesting! Also the HDMI on boot issue is solved!!! You can't imagine how much time I've spent trying to solve that... THANK YOU! Can I ask what the solution was? I added this patch to DSDT, keyboard brightness up/down works too now! into method label _Q0E replace_content begin // Brightness Down\n Notify(\_SB.PCI0.LPCB.PS2K, 0x0405)\n end; into method label _Q0F replace_content begin // Brightness Up\n Notify(\_SB.PCI0.LPCB.PS2K, 0x0406)\n end; Trackpad doesn't do anything unless I remove the DSDT. Do I need to use other kexts? You think there's any chance it will ever work with interrupts? The annoying thing with polling is that it stops working randomly. The trackpad always worked on Clover and it was always visible in settings. Just sometimes it stopped working for a minute or so. DSDT.aml
  24. Thanks! Sleep is working now. Function keys are working (except keyboard brightness up, down) Trackpad doesn't work. Out of curiosity, can I ask how you solved sleep? What was causing the problem? Send me MacOS-N580VD.zip
  25. Sure, here you go! MacOS-N580VD.ioreg.7z
