I try a lot of smbios, but i have the same problem... the boot hang's on first step or second step with kernel panic or simple freeze without warning...

 

And you sure DESKTOP 300,400 isn't NOTEBOOK/LAPTOP 300,400? (i have used both, same errors)

I registered in this great forum just to get help from the master… I have to say this is my last hope...

I’ve done hackintosh before in other computers via OpenCore and everything was ok.

I have this new machine with Asus Tuf Gaming Z490 Plus Wi-Fi + Core i9 10900 + Sapphire 5500XT Nitro+ where I have installed hackintosh using opencore non-vanilla-way guide as usual.

My hackintosh is only booting ok one time every two attempts. Meaning, when doing a reboot from MacOS, it freezes at “ [EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START] “

The, after, when I force a power off / power on using the physical button of the machine, then it boots ok.
All rest is perfect, even sleep/awake. I’ve reviewed over and over BIOS parameters and they are ok.

I have requested some help on other forums with no success... I am using dual boot with windows.

I can upload my EFI in case it helps...?

Curious thing is I've tried different EFIs of people with very similar config and I have the exact same issue except for one old EFI from a forum: Here2. This one is ok even during reboots, however, my primary display port monitor is not working, only when using both monitors in HDMI...

Still...I wanted a brand new EFI with last OpenCore version but I am apparently not able to make it work.

Do I just replace my current EFI folder of my SSD running Big Sur by this one?

delete ur old efi folder and paste new, reboot, reset nvram, boot into system

Ok...after many weeks I've found the issue...when having primary monitor connected on display port it causes this issue mentionned above...If I change this connectivity by HDMI it is ok... weird...any fix for this?

By the way...I don't see windows in my grub boot menu. How can I add it?

hi, finalIy I installed macOS 11.5.1 on my system using this guide and your OC EFI for 500 series.

Now problem is, Ethernet is green in settings but Safari is not opening any webpage.

EDITE: After restart it worked, now time for fine tuning ?

I managed intel i225v to work only by kernel patch with device id F2150000 from Asus Z490i seems to work with my Asus Z590i, hope it is stable ?

it seems i solved the problem with Ethernet by this 2 steps:

1. using only "dk.e1000=0" bootarg (No any other kext or patch)

2. changing my Ethernet settings manually in Settings/Advanced/Hardware/Duplex,

from (full-duplex, flow-control, energy-efficient-ethernet) to (full-duplex) this worked after multiple times of restart on 11.5.1 and i think it works for macOS Monterey as well, need test.

My only problem now is mapping USB ports, the system shows onboard Audio and CPU cooler and motherboard ARGB cable as USB ports so its limiting other USB ports of motherboard, and some USB 2 ports working but not showing in Hackintoll app  i have some work to do.
