arthur-p, thanks for the prompt response and also for the useful tips.

arthur-p,

FIXED!!

The problem was that the default iasl4 compiler in MacIASL 1.3 (252) is really old: 2010-03-31

So I looked for a more recent iasl (version 20141107-64 [Jan 2 2015]), then put it in MaciASL/Contents/MacOS, renaming it to iasl4.

Now, once I insert DTGP and apply Pjaml's Intel Series-9 Generic fixes, my dsdt.aml compiled fine for the first time.

I wish it was mentionned somewhere to update the iasl if there are persistent errors that don't seem fixable.

Thanks.

hello

try this one

good hack

Thanks however opening it up in maciasl - I still get the following

57, 6074, Name already exists in scope (_SB_.PCI0.SAT0.PRT1)

58, 6074, Name already exists in scope (_SB_.PCI0.SAT0.SECD.S_D0)

however I deleted those lines and was able to compile after patching..... I noticed however that the errors always came back each time I open the DSDT...

Any solutions to this?

thanks for you help..

Hi artur-pt,

Thanks again for the nice dsdt. It never fails. My machine works better than a real Macbook. The only problem is the boot loader or the org.chameleon.bootplist whichever combination I choose and boot from hard drive, it results in kp. Any suggestions? I'm still booting from usb where I put the dsdt in extra.

Thanks again

Man, Yosemite is nice.

You sir artur-pt, are one hell of great person.

I saw that in order to generate c states, etc to have ssdt tables. I did not know if I needed them.

Once again, you are just wonderfully great person.

Thank you.

First boot went well. Nothing seemed severely broken. Some other things:

I have the ALC892 realtek sound card. Was this included in DSDT patch? If so, do I need to remove the voodoo.kext?

How do I look at my CPU states? Do I use IOREG?
