Please help me patching DSDT

My Alienware m14x r2 spec:

Prosessor: 3rd Generation Intel® Core i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GHz Ivy Bridge

Chipset: Intel HM77 rev. 04

Graphics:

Intel HD Graphics 4000

2 GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 650M with Optimus

Audio: Creative recon3di

USB: 2 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Ports ... Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Port with PowerShare Technology

I try to add VoodooHDA kext to enable sound, but i get no luck with VoodooDHA 2.8.2, 2.8.4,... these kexts make my hackintosh can not boot

I also try to install audio driver with multishit, i install ALCxxx, Voodoo ... then it also does not work

I delete all GeForce* kext (someone said it will disable nVidia GT650M), just leave HD4000 kext, set GraphicsEnabler=Yes in org.chameleon.Boot.plist and i got BLACK SCREEN :(

Please help me!

Thanks in advanced

I am attempting to get my dell latitude e6410 to restart and sleep. I am running 10.8.2 currently.

Hardware I am working with:

core i5-520m

nvs3100m graphics

2x2gb ddr3 ram

180gb intel SSD 520 series

Broadcom wireless

I am attaching a few files, one is my current DSDT. Shutdown works Sleep partially works (screen shuts off) everything else stays active.

The DSDTreboot file will boot only in single user mode (graphics/gui won't load) but shutdown -r now works.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated :D

I did use the Iatkos ml 10.8.2 cd to install.

Both dsdt's are able to do a shutdown -r now in single usermode and actually reboot...

Any ideas why it won't restart after it has loaded the GUI?

Artur,

Thanks for attempting to help, but unfortunately restart still does not work.

I read through your guides and tried many other options (null cpu pwr mgmt and more)

Still nothing on restart. I did find in the system log that sleep was being prevented by the firewire.

I disabled the firewire but the computer doesn't sleep the screen turns black and the system now is unresponsive almost like the restart issue.

let me know if you can assist with this further?

Thanks again for your time :)

I'm afraid so....this thing has caused me much trouble. I spent way too much time trying to learn DSDT when I still need to mod this bios to fix my HD4000 memory size. Acer sure went out of their way to inconvenience its customers....at least it didn't whitelist the WLAN and that should be an easy change later on. Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Hello everyone!! I would like to have my brightness control working on my asus g73sw with gtx 460m. I have tried everything but nothing works. I have the slider, but it doesnt do anything Even GenericBrightness.kext won't work. I wonder if Acpibacklight and generic brightness conflict with each other? I also use ACPIbacklight.kext and in console i get,

9/18/13 4:59:39.000 PM kernel[0]: ACPIBacklightPanel: Found Backlight Device: DPOD

9/18/13 4:59:39.000 PM kernel[0]: ACPIBacklightPanel: ACPI Method _DOS found. Device path: _SB.PCI0.PEG0.GFX0

9/18/13 4:59:39.000 PM kernel[0]: ACPIBacklightPanel: ACPI Methods _BCL _BCM _BQC found. Device path: _SB.PCI0.PEG0.GFX0.DPOD

9/18/13 4:59:39.000 PM kernel[0]: ACPIBacklightPanel: Version 1.2

For audio, i would like HDMI and native audio working because i am using patched IOAudioFamily and HDAEnabler.

THanks in advance!! You guys are the best

(sorry for duplicate posts i put in wrong place  )

Hello

In another topic i say to you: Forget these generic kexts.

So my friend, try active your graphics: http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=154

Using original kext, you'll have brightness control and more...

To audio, use VoodooHDA: http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=355

HDMI audio work perfectly sice 2.8.2

Common problems: http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=454

Yes thank you! Voodoohda works with hdmi! I removed the generic brightness kext but no brightness change? Maybe i mess up DSDT?

Hello.

DSDT is more to power management than graphics.

You can active your graphics by DSDT, but you can make the same by org.chameleon...

You try read the topic about graphics?

Yes i did. Im using GraphicsEnabler=yes and stock apple nvidia kexts and also freezefix.app to stop the freezing with Fermi based cards.
