Thanks, although that might fix the USB problem, I still have the problem of sleep, it wakes up but the screen stays black and the fan spins up louder until a do a force restart.

I beg to differ, from what I’ve read is probable related to backlight & or brightness implementation in the DSDT file, which I beg for you to take another look, I’m going to apply the patch you suggested for usb speeds as soon as I get home.

Thank you. Sorry for being such a novice. By use it I gather I put the DSDT.aml file in the root directory and reboot. I did this and ran the app again.

What is DSDT for?

I installed Mojave on my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52. Below are the specs.

Processor: I7-8750

RAM: 16GB

GPU0: Intel UHD 630

GPU1: Nvidia GTX 1050

Card Reader: Realtek RTL8411B

Wireless: AC 9560

NIC: RTL8168/8111

By the way, here are some issues that I found.

Bluetooth not working

Airdrop not working - The operation cannot be completed because the item can't be found

Facetime/Messages - Does not allow me to login then I tried changing the serial and UUID. It is now saying contact Apple and provide the code displayed.

iCloud - Account limit reached

I put the DSDT.aml in CLOVER/ACPI/PATCHED, rebooted. It boots faster now. But when I run the app it hangs at Processor Info. Just spinning. When it did that the first time the computer locked up, no keyboard or mouse response.

I was booting from the USB installer. Took that out, rebooted and ran the app.

Ok, those 2 other were for the usb mapping with the usbmap.kext. Do I need the kext or any other usb kext or is everything working just with your dsdt? And do I still need EmuVariableUefi-64.efi for NVRAM or does this also work with the dsdt now? Thanks

I googled on dell optiplex 990 chipset, it said q67, which as near as I can tell would be the LGA 775 folder. Downloaded that, put it in the efi partition, reran clover install, rebooted then ran app.
