Ok the updated clover zip does not work. the system does not come up any more. some kind of acpi error several times and then it gets stuck. even from the stick it does not start anymore. i do it again. just to mention i changed the bios settings already before. so that had worked. i will crawl back to the clover zip that you gave me before.

Hello Don,

here are the 2 screenshots that i took and the last sendme file. First screenshot is the system freeze. Second the halt that i mentioned before. Did i grab the wrong clover .zip? Do you think it will be safe to update to 10.14.2 after resolving this issue here? Thank you for your great work & cumprimentos

Hi! Thanks so much for offering this help! I've sent you some beer money, enjoy it in good health. :)

My main goals, aside from a stable, fast system, is to get all of the possible hardware encoding options (h.264, 8 bit HEVC) on my Skylake processor and to get my USB ports working stably and under the port limit.

Hello Don, System works with disabled intelhd and AMD card / OtherOS is set.

Anything else? it still boots only through preboot not standard mac os button.

Another question... I've got a NvME drive, a Samsung MZ V6E2 S24 A450BW SSD 960 Evo Nvme M.2 250 MB. I use that to boot another install of Mojave 10.14.2.

I've also got a SEDNA - PCI-Express Low Profile IEEE 1394b FireWire 3 Port Card (2 E 1I) that I use to run an audio interface.

I tried copying the 2nd clover directory you sent me to the EFI directory of that drive to boot from, but when clover tries to load the OS, I get an error about being unable to determine the state of the Firewire 800 connection and defaulting to secure, then the boot process freezes.

So, my question is, Does something need to change to the config to allow it to boot from that drive?

And a follow up question might be, if not, do you have a clue as to why I would get that error?

Here's a screenshot of that error.

Also happens with the CHIPSET SERIES 10, 20 and 30 (SKYLAKE / KABYLAKE / COFFEELAKE) basic Clover config from the NVME drive.

Probably something simple I'm missing. :)

[ref]MAP002[/ref], without firewire work?

Firewire's working fine booting off this drive. Booting off my NVME drive, the system locks up with that firewire error, so I can't get into the OS without booting from the simple Clover install on my Mojave install USB stick.

To be clear, it's all working fine booting from this drive. It's only not working when I try to boot from the NVME using the CHIPSET SERIES 10, 20 and 30 Clover folder in the NVME's EFI volume.

Added in 1 minute 31 seconds:

I should add that I was able to boot from that drive before replacing the old Clover config with the CHIPSET SERIES 10, 20 and 30 version.

Just to triple check, I just booted to the Mojave install on that NVME drive using Clover on the Mojave USB installer I created with unishit.

OK, will disconnect my other drives and retry the NVME with the CHIPSET SERIES 10, 20 and 30 Clover folder.
