I have problems with brightness and no brightness control is available. battery icon is missing. Also sound card (ALC 269VC) is not worked by default but I use voodooHDA but they are not worked perfectly. And I have wifi card builtin (AR9485) which is not supported as far as I know. And lastly graphics, graphics detects if I open my laptop from complete shutdown state. But if I reboot or switch one os to Mac then graphics is not worked correctly.

I have samsung NP300E5EV laptop. with HD4000 intel corei5 3210M 2.5GHz with 4GB Ram. no dedicated gpu.

Hi MaLd0n,

Thanks for looking into my issue, but when I use the patched DSDT, I am unable to boot. I've attached images of where the boot gets stuck. This happens with the AMD 7950 or the nVidia card. I can press the space bar when it is stuck, but it basically keeps looping through that AppleKeyStore: Operation Failed lines.

Hi guys i am an old reader in the forum and now i want some help with my new notebook is the best laptop that my money can buy it is an Acer F5 573G 75A3 im having issues with backlight - ITS THE ONLY THING THAT I WANT WORKING and its not working LOL if someone can patch using this guide the points that i want its

- backlight patch working

- check if nvidia patch its disabled (optional) i am using the intel but sometimes i think its using nvidia

@MaLd0n Thank you so much, I appreciate your work brightness is working though I download a brightness slider from store. Audio is working with voodooHDA and AppleALC together since installation. graphics is working but if restart, graphics will not work. I have to completely shutdown my laptop and open again. that's weird. and I am afraid to apply battery manager because every time it corrupts the boot. Lets see. what I can do.

Hello friends I'm having some problems with my laptop I have allready a patch in dsdt made by MaLd0n & onemanosx but it only enables the trackpad basic functions. I have read here a guy that say he's trackpad settings start working with with acpibatterymanger kext but it didn't change nothing my battery status no gets show whit any patch that I have tried or kext. I have a Nvidia 1060, The acceleration its working... I have tried a bunch of patches made by onemanosx but the brightness isn't working, also the HDMI audio no works but the video its showed fine I read her (https://www.tonycrapx86.com/threads/hdmi-audio-gtx-1060-razer-blade.263379/) a guide with answers of rehabman it pretty similar to the change that I have to made in the brightness but its were im having problems lol.

Any help would be very appreciated

[ref]MaLd0n[/ref], before everthing you are the best ! So I have placed dsdt on acpi/patches but the trackpad and keyboard stop works so i removed dsdt.aml and only applied the mappings in config.plist now everthing works except i7 boost management but brightness its Nice

We are inching closer and closer to success. I followed your directions to remove the DSDT, check BIOS.aml as the dsdt name, and I am able to boot successfully.

But same issue remains with the 7950 unable to load the login screen. I still go straight to black screen, but system up and running fine. The card is even recognized when checking system information. I am doing everything through VNC viewer, even this post

Any ideas what this issue might be?

Thanks again for your help. I've seen some info about frame buffers being wrong, but this is pretty much a reference card. Sapphire 7950 3GB. 1x HMDI, 1x DVI, 2x mini-DP. I have my monitor plugged into one of the DPs, but any port goes to black screen.
