Johnnyhobbs Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 [ref]Johnnyhobbs[/ref], just drop DSDT in clover options, press O key Added in 13 seconds: [ref]adeonir[/ref], use same files If I have that option with the patched DSDT in place, I get the same problem. Taking away the patched DSDT and having the Drop OEM DSM option allows the machine to boot, but there's nothing reported in PCI devices and the SATA controllers are reported as Generic.

jacobhannigan1997 Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 I posted my DSDT a while ago and now I can almost boot! Thank you so much for patching it. However, i'm still getting ACPI errors but not nearly as many as without a patched DSDT. I realized that I may have accidentally booted clover in legacy instead of UEFI when I extracted my DSDT. I'm not sure if this makes a difference but I have uploaded my clover ACPI folder with UEFI clover extracted .aml files. Also is there a dsdt patch for intel HD 5500 brightness and for battery support for the acer e5 573? I was eventually able to boot into the olarilla high sierra installer but the installer fails around 3 minutes in. I have attached a photo and the log from the installer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance. This is the best hackintosh forum i've ever used! I get paid monthly so as soon as January is here, ill be sure to donate! Johnnyhobbs Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 (edited) I just went ahead and replaced my clover folder with the 300 series folder provided here. From there I copied my smbios settings and my hide volume settings. Everything else in the plist is how it is provided here. Now, my hack boots up with the patched DSDT. Woo! However, now the system will not go to sleep. It sleeps fine without the patched DSDT. Do I need to make changes to the config plist to make it sleep again? Also with the patched DSDT, PCI devices looks like this. It looks like the thuderbolt card still isnt full recognized. But the USB 3.1 controller for it is. I did edit the patched DSDT slightly. It was listed as the GC Titan Ridge card, but the card I have is the GC Alpine Ridge v 2.0. So I replaced "Titan" with "Alpine" Edited December 19, 2018 by Guest

Johnnyhobbs Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 [ref]Johnnyhobbs[/ref], No , u can inject a simple patch, only cosmtetic If the DSDT patch is only cosmetic, do you think there could be something else conflicting with sleep either in the DSDT or in config.plist?
