menelkir Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 hello u can post other links .. if u use a patched dsdt .. don't repeat in clover dsdt fix .. disable all and after boot with the dsdt .. post a ioregisterexplorer .. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/272459-appleacpibatterymanagerapplesmartbatterymanager-for-lion/ that is how to patch ur bat status after u can test .. and test again .. don't expect 1ª time and all work good hack Thanks. Ive posted what works and what not here here and here. I'm really out of luck with this notebook. I've disabled everything related to patching DSDT and kernel, and a couple of things still don't work. I've tried to diminish the kexts in /Library/Extensions, leaving only FakeSMC and nothing. Perhaps it's my DSDT.aml? I've extracted using Clover, maybe clover did something wrong when extracted this one (I don't know if this is even possible)? I'm out of options right now. This is my actual config.plist, it's booting ok without any major problems (disregard the known hardware issues). Update: I had some personal issues IRL, I'll do the ioreg later and attach in this post. ----- After some fightings with my notebook, I realized this notebook have efi (don't know how or why, because BIOS doesnt have a thing saying about EFI, but I was able to enter in EFI Boot Manager). So after reading a lot of stuff, I've tried to patch myself a DSDT (I didn't want to bother with another request and since the last one will not works for me, as now isn't in legacy mode anymore (yes, I've tried)), specially because I want to understand how it works, and I was partially successful. So.. I had some warnings, 0 errors and able to boot into my system. Here is my own patched DSDT, and the entire drop from clover to examine. As you requested, here's my IOREG Notebook: Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q855 | i5-450M 2.5Ghz | 8Gb DDR3 | Nvidia GeForce GTS 360M - 1Gb GDDR5 | 1680x945 Desktop: Asus P8H61-M LX2 R2.0 | i5-3470 3.2Ghz | 8Gb DDR3 | Nvidia GeForce GTX650 - 2Gb GDDR5 | 1920x1080

menelkir Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Hi I've tried to patch myself and fix some things here but I think I'm messing up more than expected. I'll attach my dsdt (extracted using 'patchmatic -extract'), I was able to remove all warnings and errors, but not able to fix my hardware (I'll post about it below). I'll also attach my ioreg. Actually the only dsdt patch i'm using is the HDMI one from toleda (audio is working nice via hdmi, and way better than voodoohda). In my CLOVER/kexts/10.11 I only have FakeSMC, NullCPUPM, RealtekRTL8111 and VoodooTSCSync (because if I need to reinstall OSX, at least this part is done and I can boot without too much effort). USB3 isn't working, and I have USBInjectAll and GenericUSBXHCI on /Library/Extensions. The kexts are loading ok, but I can't see my devices connected on USB ports, I think is something directly related to my DSDT. My USB3 is a VL80x xHCI PCI-E 0x34321106. Sound is only available via VoodooHDA afaik, none of the methods that I've tried worked, I don't even know if it's possible to use another method than VoodooHDA (HDMI works because the patch I said before). My soundcard is an ALC887 using VIA VT1708S_0 Audio Device 0x80861C20, Sub Device 0x10438415, Codec 0x11060397. I don't know if it can be fixed using DSDT+AppleHDA patches, I didn't find anything that works until date. Thanks. menelkir Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Thanks for the dsdt. And yes, I did the fixes for my cpu from the link you gave me, now I understand better some options in clover and I don't need the NullCPU anymore, thanks. About the usb3, yes, I'm using genericxhci and isn't working. I don't know if I need an extra kext or something else (the ports are working with usb2 device, but usb3 devices only works in usb2 ports, ) It seems applehda-patcher works with a lot of devices, but mine, lol. Well... I have sound via hdmi, I'll rest the sound case for a while.. @menelkir hello try this one and read .. is easy to talk in portuguese .. http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=34 must use genericxhci.kext u don't have compatible usb3 .. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/496-applehda-patcher/ good hack Notebook: Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q855 | i5-450M 2.5Ghz | 8Gb DDR3 | Nvidia GeForce GTS 360M - 1Gb GDDR5 | 1680x945 Desktop: Asus P8H61-M LX2 R2.0 | i5-3470 3.2Ghz | 8Gb DDR3 | Nvidia GeForce GTX650 - 2Gb GDDR5 | 1920x1080

I need: Power management, Audio through my graphics card HDMI (EVGA GTX-660Ti)- if possible Audio through my built in sound card - Realtek ALC892 --also anything that would help with getting my nvram and identifier done successfully for iMessage & facetime would be awesome..?? -- I hope I'm not missing anything. If you guys know better please have at it. THANK YOU! DSDT.zip
