Gimmemoar Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Hello, friends! Everything works fine on my Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E220s except HDMI audio and sleep/hibernation. Analog audio works fine with VoodooHDA, but HDMI audio is silent (HDMI video is OK). Sleep mode turns off the screen but CPU fan goes on and on with hot air. Hibernation (if mode is 25) turns off my laptop but makes impossible to boot, in this case the laptop boots only with "Cancel hibernation wake" in Clover menu. Please, help me with these problems. Is it possible to fix LAN, WIFI, card reader and battery indicator without additional kexts, with DSDT only? Thank you. Send me Michael’s MacBook Pro.zip

fanckush Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 hello everyone. i have an HP envy 15, intel haswell cpu... (i think you can know the ret from the "send me" file..) anyway, i wanted to patch my own dsdt by myself but it was so hard for me because i had too many errors to fix and i needed to dissemble the dsdt from acpi tables...etc which is kinda complicated for me. so i was able to get a good dsdt.dsl with no errors but when saved as dsdt.aml i had a lot of errors. i have the patches i want to patch (except sleep fix) so i would like o get a DSDT.dsl (if possible to be able to add the patches later. if not then i want to patch sleep, audio layout 12, GFX0 to IGPU, battery fix. they all exist in rehabman laptop repo i hope i didn't confuse you with my english, to sum it again: i want 2 things : 1) to be able to add more patches later 2) to have a dsdt with sleep fixed thank you so much for making this happen and sorry for my english

Alexthebest27 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 @syskuchh You've got a Haswell Intel Core i5 what means, you need to modify the mach_kernel first (but i think you know that alredy). Have you managed to install Mountain Lion or can't you even acces the installation? Try to boot with "GraphicsEnabler=No -v -x cpus=1" <- GraphicsEnabler in capital letters! ***Edit*** Maybe it even has to do something with your AMD Graphics Card. As i heared, they are not really supported. But GraphicsEnabler=No should help you a little bit...... eventually.....
hackthemac Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Hey guys, first of all I'd like to thank you all to take the time to help other people who has no idea what/how to do to get a patched DSDT file (like me). These are my laptop specs: HP dv7 3085dx - Intel Core i7 720QM / 1.6 GHz (Mobile Intel HM55 Express) - (6.0GB (1x4GB 1x2GB) @ 1333.0 MHz / PC3-10600) - NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M - 1024.0 MB (1600 x 900 HD+). The problem I'm having is overheating: That's the laptop running Parallels with Windows 8 (installing Visual Studio 2012) on OSX 10.9.1. Before posting here I've tried the following: HWMonitor app shows the frequencies changing, I believe all cpus should run on "x12" which gives a total of 1.6 GHz, but sometimes when the laptop is performing intensive tasks that multiplier changes to "x13" (I haven't seen it changing to a larger multiplier) and at that frequency each core has 1.73GHz, hence -- IMHO -- the overheating. Apparently the C-States implies idle status, while the P-States implies real work, I have black (good) temps from HWMonitor when the laptop is idle, so I guess the EnableCxState won't do much. While I was playing with /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist I've discover the HWMonitor app doesn't get any readings from "Thermal Zone 1". Things I've changed in o.c.B.plist: - GeneratePStates = Yes. - GenerateCStates = Yes. - EnableC3State = Yes. - busratio = 12. And I've tried several combinations of the previous boot flags. The laptop boots without any issue, but I'd like to lower the temp a bit, 90 © / 194 (F) seems to be too high. Any help will be much appreciated, thanks in advance!! S. coolnow Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Hi, Tried reading about how to clean up my DSDT (dsdt.zip) but there's no set tutorials for them; you just need to know how they should look like to succeed, something which i don't have right now I'm trying to enable gfx by injecting the intel platform id for my ThinkPad T540p. However, even compiling my DSDT without patches gives me 2 errors, unexpected '}' and ','. I tried adding the corresponding brackets before and after and deleting them etc but i always get errors. Can anyone clean it up and/or apply this fix graphics_Haswell_0a260006.zip? If you can even clean the DSDT i should be able to patch via DSDT Editor for Windows. Thanks for your help
