Hello artur-pt,

Thanks for the link.

I am wondering if you can help my with my dsdt?

Attached is my extracted dsl file for my Acer v5-571G core i7-3517u.

I use the DSDT Editor (Windows version to extract it).

I am getting so many errors that i need someone's help to do me a working one.

I suppose the generic hacks for notebook ivy bridge will do..

Basically.. i want a working machine. :)

or maybe you can show me what i need to do..

Thanks again..

good hack

Hi artur-pt.,

Is this dsdt.aml clean.... with no patches installed?

I used DSDT Editor and tried to apply all the 14 patches under Notebook Core i Ivy Bridge Folder.

Only 4 do not work, they are ....

1. HDEF DSM ---> i get over 200 errors... the first being internal compiler error

2. HPET -----> Error is Object does not exist (CRS_)

3. PNLF SB ---> Error is Name already exist in scope (PNLF)

4. SMBUS ---> Error Name already exist in scope (BUS0)

---> Error Name already exist in scope(_ADR)

I thought i'd let you know so you can tell me how to fix it.

Many thanks, mate!

I've not used a DSDT before - do I now have to make changes to the org.Chameleon.boot.plist - see attached- such as P and C states etc?

I'm weaning myself off the 'beast thing.

I want to get sleep working on my Alienware M17XR2 laptop. I can put it to sleep but when it wakes, the display looks all garbled. If I shut the lid, the display returns fine. I think that the only way I can fix this is through the use of dsdt. Please help! Thank you!

Hi there, and thank you for keeping this thread.

I am having trouble with sleep on Mavericks 10.9.1. Please fix this.

And Mavericks 10.9.1 also resets my CMOS, each reboot. Please fix this.

I am sending this from a 10.8, do I need to send you a the SendMe.zip from the 10.9.1?

In 10.8 I use sleepenabler but 10.9.1 doesn't seem to like it. My motherboard is GA-945GCM-S2C, I tried using DSDT Editor, and DSDT auto patcher (as there is a patch for my board) but after fixing the first out of 9 errors it will not compile and Save as AML.

Appreciate your help

EDIT: Just attached the 10.9.1 SendMe file if it is any help. Thanks again

Hello,

I'm not very new to hackintosh yet I still didn't figured out how to fix my sound issue (ALC888) on a MSI GX660 and how to enable sleep.

I'm on Mavericks 10.9.1.

I can fix my sound issue with VoodooHDA yet HDMI sound (AMD 5870M) would not be working and I would like to have a better sound (heard the sound might be better using AppleHDA).

My send me file is in attachment, if you need any other file just tell me.

(I already followed several tutorials about DSDT patching and ALC888 without success that's why I'm posting here :))

Thank you very much in advance !

Thank you very much:)

You solved the audio issue i faced during two weeks in a few minutes!

ALC is now fully working (using the recent kext in your link), didn't have the opportunity to test the hdmi output though but I will do. (Micro, headphone(with auto detect)and speaker are fully working)

I will follow the steps in order to try to fix the sleeping issue when I get home.

You deserve a beer my friend :)
