Good Day DSDT patch team.

I have spent days attempting to find steps to assist me in patching myself but to no avail. I have attached all the necessary files you will need.

What I am looking for:

1. Native power management.

1A. All the native kexts are loaded with no KP's. I did patch AICPM with the latest *beast.

1B. Is speedstep possible.

2. Sleep/Hibernate

2A. I do have AppleLPC loaded and RTC patched. Currently if I manually select sleep the screen goes white with the pointer showing.

3. Brightness Slider. If that is not possible due to my integrated graphics I completely understand.

I have also attached the current DSDT I am using. It currently has patches that allows AppleLPC to load, Audio to work (mic in/ext, codecs), and a patch that allows the system the integrated graphics to be listed in system profile.

Thanks in advance for any help or guidance you may be able to provide.

Hi friends,

Great works that you have done! :) I've just successfully installed Mountain Lion (10.8.5) on my Alienware M15x. The system runs pretty well but I need Power Management and Sleep to work. :) This is my Sendme.zip file. My CPU is Intel Core i7 720 QM (Nehalem / Clarksfield).

Please help me with it! Thanks a lot!

P.S: My graphic card is Nvidia Geforce GTX260m, I have "GraphicEnabler="Yes" in Chameleon plist file and Mountain Lion recognizes it correctly in System Info (Geforce GTX260m, 1024MB...), however Mirror function doesn't work, is there any DSDT patch to get VGA out and HDMI working? Thank you again! :)

I appreciate you checking the files I supplied. I implemented your suggestions and everything seems to start up well. My question is about my screen going completely white and the pointer frozen on the screen when sleep is engaged. I thought the screen was supposed to go dark/black. Anything else I need to do for sleep to engage when I close the lid?

Thanks,

Hello.

I have reviewed your link before prior to posting here. I will review it once again.

Currently, the power button will start sleep, but like I said with a white screen not black.

After about 15 minutes of non-use it will go to sleep, again with a white screen not black.

It both scenarios mentioned the laptop will wake, go to my login screen.

I understand that many PC's don't even have this luxury.

I will take your recommendation of powering down into consideration.

Thanks.

hello

try to boot

-f -v

good hack

Added -f to kernel flag, I got stuck at [PCI Configuration Begins]; I then added "ncpi=0x2000" and got Kernel Panic. Same problem with "ncpi=0x3000" :(

Hi,

Thanks again :) But it still doesn't work...same as before, it stuck at "AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient: ready" during boot :( And I had "AppleHDA" removed before when installed VoodooHDA. :)

Post in this topic if you want someone to patch your DSDT, please don't open a new topic, unless you are trying to learn how to do it yourself and need help.

You must attach the "Send me" file created (in desktop) by RunMe.app and say what you need to be patched (the problem you expect to solve).

If you have no idea why you need a patched DSDT, then you probably don't need one. Forget about using *beast and do the post installation as described in this topic.

This script extracts ACPI tables (iasl), boot-log, device-properties (gfxutil) and SMBIOS (dmidecode) from ioreg dumps. Drag a "Send me" folder to the app if you want to help someone.
