Im trying to apply the following patch to my dsdt to get my IntelHD4000 to work but recieve a few errors when compiling. I was wondering if you would be able to help

This is the errors i receive after trying to compile:

21 Error Name already exists in scope (\TNOT)

3587 Warning Reserved method should not return a value (_SRS)

9940 Error Name already exists in scope (_DSM)

Hope you can help me clear this up, Thanks in advance! (the dsdt i have attached doesn't include the patch obviously as i cannot compile it)

Hey, can I get help patching the minimum brightness on my laptop. I'm fine with the slider that I put in my dsdt, however the minimum value completely shuts off the backlight. I'd like to change that so that it doesn't happen. Also, upon resuming from sleep, the brightness automatically slides down lower and lower until it hits the lowest (backlight off). If possible, can that be fixed?

I cannot use the HDMI port on my GTX 570 for a dual monitor setup, and I cannot change the resolution or brightness in System Preferences. When I attach my TV, it will not boot into Mac OS X, or if I attach it while in Mac OS X, my main display goes off. Unplugging the TV will restore the picture.

Hi i have a big problem, i´m now using lion 10.7.4 on my laptop but when i update to 10.7.5 my system crash, i don´t have video.

The system load well, but it freeze in gray screen, after load and i can´t see the desktop, and the same on mountain lion.

So a need help for inject the graphics on the DSDT, for have graphics on mountain lion, i have a DSDT clean without error, but i don´t know where i have put the graphic injector.

My system spec.

Hp DV6 2168es

Intel Core i5 520m (i think)

Nvidia Geforce G105M 512MB with CUDA

4GB Ram

Wifi Atheros 985.

So if some can help i really glass it.

hi , i have a msi laptop intel core 2 duo nforce mcp79 chipset with geforce 8200m video card. I have successfully installed snow leopard on it using iatkos s3 v2. all works well after applying the proper kext (except sleep).

My request is to have a working dsdt.aml so that i can install Mountain lion. I tried 2 distro's , Myhack mountain lion on usb and iatkos ml2 on dvd and usb. Myhack fails when booting usb installer as i always get

"pci configuration begin". I tried every boot strings i could muster and nothing works. Iatkos ml2 usb installer has the same problem as the myhack installer.

Now with Iatkos ml2 dvd installer I was able to boot into the install menu using bootstrings "UserKernelCache=No -v -x". The installation completed after selecting necessary fields in the customize section . The problem is when i reboot after the installation ,it goes black screen. I did a -v at boot and everything seems to load fine until the end when the screen would just turn black. I think it is cause by a video driver not loading properly.

Could I request a patch for my dsdt to enable my video to work. thanks

i think probably not..

nothing to do u install problems with dsdt..

to install mac os x u don't need dsdt..

what u ask.. i don't understand.. but if u think dsdt is the solution for u problems u are wrong... if it was that i have a MacBook Pro retina

dsdt is extracted from u bios and in the compatible hardware u have .. applying some patches to optimized the use in mac os x..

Thanks for the quick reply.My video work only in 32 bit mode.My problem is after the moungtain lion has completed the installation, once i reboot, after seeing the apple logo spinning, it ends with a black screen.

Anyway thanks for clearing things up. DSDT has nothing to do with the install process.

like u say u graphics works in arch=i386 (32 bit) so forget Mountain Lion and Mavericks.. all native 64 bit

I'm sorry, is this directed toward me? Probably say the person's username to avoid confusion. I've been doing research and one of the suggestions for my specific problem was using a DSDT, that's why I requested a patched DSDT. If there was something I forgot to include besides the Send Me.zip, let me know. As you can see, I'm noob at this. Everything works fine without using a DSDT except the dual monitor HDMI port and no brightness or changing resolution options. As an editor, it would be great to be able to use my TV as a 2nd monitor for more real estate.

Hi friend, is not a bad config because, the mountain lion is a clean installation and when i update lion to 10.7.5 with the combo i don´t have video when the system up.

So, for that reason i believe, i need a DSDT.

Help me please.......
