dear All,

you can find attached the "send me" file.

i am using a Dell Inspiron N7010 and i have some issues:

1) sleep - does not work

2) speedstep - does not work

3) battery autonomy - around half compared to Windows

4) closing lid - not going to sleep

5) CMOS reset on every boot - i don't know if can be resolved by DSDT. i tried all kind of patched AppleRTC.kext. still resets at every reboot.

6) forgetting after every boot how i arranged the apps in Lounchpad and settings of keyboard (CTRL instead of "Command") -> in settings -> Keyboard -> Modifier Keys...

i need some help, please. i am struggling resolve these issues for for about 3 weeks now, and it's starting to become frustrating. please, tell me if you need any additional information.

thank you in advance.

also, it seems that now CMOS does not resets anymore.

do you think there are workarounds for speedstep and wake up?

thank you!

Hi,

use IntelCPUMonitor (FakeSMC plugin) and HWMonitor to check SpeedStep

http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1643

About wake issue, try using AppleACPIPlatform from 10.6.8, it's included in this package

Hello good friends,

I need help fixing some issues with my setup. I've a Samsung Series 3 (NP300E5Z-S05AE) running OSX Lion and I've the following list of issues:

  • Sleep - does not work (Installing SleepEnabler makes it sleep but Immediately wake up).
  • Closing lid - not going to sleep.
  • NumLock is always switched off, so numeric pad isn't working.
  • Some FN keys aren't functioning as supposed to (Especially brightness control keys F2 & F3).
  • I'm using VoodooHDA which is working but randomly KP. It'd be awesome to have native support for my ALC269 audio chip.
  • My Elantech touchpad works as mouse only without gestures. I confirm the gestures are working fine on windows and Linux. At least vertical scrolling is provided by the touchpad firmware without any driver but it isn't activated on OSX.

I've attached the required "send me" file and any help is appreciated .

Kind regards,

Ahmed
