Good day! Please help me with two problems if you may.

The first problem: I can't adjust screen brightness. Not only with Fn+F5 and Fn+F6, there is also no slider in System Preferences->Displays.

The second question is related to the battery. I have tried AppleSmartBatteryManager.kext from RehubMan https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-ACPI-Battery-Driver with no success, maybe I have wrong DSDT methods that return battery status. It seems that another kext (VoodooBattery 1.3.6) works, but only in pair with special AppleACPIPlatform.kext, and sadly that package leads to some problems with system (slow boot in particular).

I have found this thread: http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2795 and my original DSDT turned to be very close to that of cyonix. I have also successfully tried the DSDT in that thread modified by Mirone. I had to apply some changes to this patched DSDT: slightly different IRQNoFlags in HPET (to make USB work) and changed HDEF (to work with AppleHDA.kext patched for ALC889). Sleep mode works normally, thanks to Mirone.

Try This:

@Machne: I dont know how u get sleep working with your 10.8.2 installation. can you explane which files u have modified.. I tried your dsdt, but the same result -> after wakeup I get a restart

actually I use the VoodooBattery 1.3.6 + AppleACPIPlatform kext..

Do you also have an unlocked bios menu for your z11 ? need your configuration

btw here my send me folder:

Mirone, thank you very much, but sadly no luck: neither screen brightness slider in System Preferences->Displays or from keyboard (Fn+F5,Fn+F6) nor battery detection. And if I understand it right you've made some changes to HPET so USB not working with your DSDT. Sleep and sound still work correctly.

I attach "Send me" in case of any changes with another (yours) DSDT if it may help you. Thank you in any case.

UPDATE: Battery works with AppleACPIPlatform.kext 1.3.6 but sleep doesn't work with this kext. So currently either battery indicator or correct sleep.

Maybe I need to change 16bit registers to 8bit pairs as described here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/272459-appleacpibatterymanagerapplesmartbatterymanager-for-lion/#entry1772114

USB works but only when boot with -f flag, kext cache rebuild and reboot without this flag doesn't work. USB error: "1/2/13 3:17:16.000 PM kernel[0]: USBF: 0.222 AppleUSBEHCI[0xffffff800aabf000]: unable to get filterInterruptEventSource"

Hello, I'm looking to have my DSDT patched. Motherboard is an ASRock Z75 Pro3.

Issues -

No sleep

Possibly no p-states (I've heard its a problem, I don't know how to check)

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

Attached the send_me.zip

I have created a DSDT before with this command:

perl -e 'open(CMD, "ioreg -lw0 \| grep DSDT|") or die; while(<CMD>) { chomp; if($_ =~ /\"DSDT\.?\d?\"=<([^>]*)>/) { $buff = $1; open(PIP, "|xxd -r -p > ~/Desktop/dsdt.aml") or die; print PIP "$1"; } }'

But that dsdt file causes kernel panic on power managment.

Im new on this stuff of hackintosh's

Audio, Video ( GTX 560TI), ethernet work fine, only sleep mode is broken.

Mobbo: MSI Z68 GD65

Thanks!!

Hi :D

Here is my file.

My laptop is: ASUS U44SG

Everything seem works fine except the shutdown and sleep problem.

Restart works.

But both shutdown and sleep go to turn off monitor and hard disk only, after that it hang, fan of CPU still running, power led still blue.

Second thing is sometimes I get a graphics glitch (see attachment, i use an other person screenshot because my laptop suffer from it too)

I use only HD3000 and disabled Optimus NVDIA card.

Third is USB 3.0 not working but I don't care much about it but it will be better if it work too

If you can help me fix those problem, i will be very happy to donate you some beer :D

And I want my Mac can run at boosted speed (3.5 GHz), can you tell me how to fix it?

Thank you very much.

artur-pt that patched DSDT worked great! Everything works, with the exception of my broken iMessages. Not sure why it no longer logs in properly but Facetime and iCloud still works. BTW, what patches did you apply, if you do not mind me asking? Thank you again for your help!

Thank you very much :D sleep and shutdown work now :o

Now I move on Turbo Boost and SpeedStep fix :D

I still can't help Powermanagement working without NullCPUPowerManagement (if I remove this file -> kernel panic) . I also enabled GenerateCStates and GeneratePStates and I did this patch too:http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1003 but no help it to boot without NullCPU...

Can you tell me what are benefits if AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement works properly ?
