Hi there.

Quite a challenge that I gave up; maybe (hope!) you win.
Ventura here, Asus z10pa-d8 (plain old C612 aka x99 chipset). NO SLEEP, EVEN NO OPTION IN BIOS. Only S4, no S3.

What I've done. Sniffed around a lot, found out that some people do have bios hacks on Chinese x99 dual-cpu boards to have S3 working. Being a little not too brave to take a chance to brick the mobo, I tried to add this via ACPI.

Extracted DSDT and put the _S3 part into it. That's all I've done, no sleep/wake routines patched due to lack of knowledge. The board now DOES go asleep but resets immediately, and the post code says Memory init error (0xbf).

The question is: should I try Runme and post here, or there's guaranteedly no way in hardware (no refresh from 5Vsb etc)? I tried to boot windoze: S4 works as it should...

Hi MaLd0n! Can you please help me and patching my DSDT? My device is a Asus laptop X515JA with i3-1005g1 and Intel UHD Graphics G1 / Intel Iris Plus Graphics G1, 8GB RAM and I'm running Catalina right now, I managed to fix some things by myself but i can't fix sleep, it goes to sleep and after waking up it starts to lag and only stops after rebooting, i fixed with the Voodootscsync.kext but i want a more clean EFI with my DSDT fully patched.

Sure Sir. It worked fine but there was no freq-on-demand power mgmt available (all the cores working on 1200MHz instead of 2200-2900), so I moved towards FakeSMC and some SSDT patches.

In any case, was it your folder, or was it mix-salad, I could find no way to put the mobo into S3 sleep, it does not even declare it. However, as I said above, I could inject it into DSDT and only then get finally stuck... :)

Now you have a minute of laugh.
For tests I’ve redone the efi with your SSDT. Being tired of patching the whole DSDT for s3 mode (any bios setup change makes it crash) I made a binary patch replacing “_S4” to “_S3” and the data from 0x06 to 0x05 in DSDT.
The latter was made with a typo and I had the hac fall asleep into S4! )))) of course it did not wake up, just started over.
With S3 I have the very same behavior: sleep, then instant reset (in 1-2 secs) and BF post code (memory error)…
